Habitat

This couldn’t be right, this couldn’t be right at all. His mind pulled him in all sorts of different directions. He had never seen a place quite like this, quite as alarming and strange to him. It was much like Duckburg but accommodating not ducks that stood at three feet tall, sometimes higher, no it accommodated a different group of creatures. He was sure of it. However in the early dawn, with the oranges and purples spreading across the vast expanse of the sky, he wasn’t able to tell– not many of whomever lived here seemed to be out and about. At first he stayed in the woodlands that concealed him at the edge of the odd town, but having decided that there was nothing left but to enter, he slipped about the urban tangle.
He was quiet and he made sure not to alarm any that could be living within. It felt like he was in some odd horror story, one that had such a heavy air of mystery that it was almost suffocating. He was always so cautious as he moved, keeping to bushes and under objects such as cars. The more time he spent within this place the more people he saw– the more humans. He had seen them before, but they weren’t the most common occurrence in his life. He recalled Duckburg and how humans were very confused to stumble upon their humble abode so long ago, baffled at the fact that they could talk and do other things such as drive vehicles, make complex food, and watch television just like them.
He was snapped out of his train of thought when a bright light eclipsed his vision, he froze and was, quite literally, a deer caught in headlights. He saw the large car before him and was alarmed, his body tense and unable to move. He would snap out of it soon enough but by this point he was sure the human had seen him. Memories came back, sea salt ice cream and inky dark creatures that seemed almost to freeze time. Those were the most vivid memories of humans that he had. What he could glean from it was that humans had two types of reactions to oddities such as him– either very violent or very friendly. It was practically a coin flip to determine which one a human was.
“I’ll be on me way now if ye’ll let me…” He spoke up after a moment, trying to be as polite as possible to not set off this character, one who was practically towering over his three foot form.
