2011- It was the third time for that day Han Gil tied up his shoes. For some reason, the shoelaces kept being undone and he had to stop few times from his walk to reach the meeting point. Luckily, the street was not too crowded despite being the middle of Sunday afternoon, where it mostly be occupied by ocean of people. He checked the time on his wrist once more. Ten minutes had past since the time they agreed on and it turned him anxious. Han Gil had never been late before. He had a perfect score in school for attending classes without being late. It was not a big deal in the future, but being on time was part of his training. His father had pointed that out numerous time, and Han Gil had learned from the best.
When he arrived at the statue as the meeting point, someone was already waiting for him. She didn’t look like she enjoyed staying under the sun alone, yet Han Gil didn’t have a good excuse for his lateness. “I’m sorry,” was the only thing he could say. His breathing was heavy from the running. “Did you wait for too long?”
