@interphrase wants Selina
“What are you really doing here, Ivy?”

“You’re checking up on me,” she deadpanned, not even responding to his attempt to lighten the mood, nor returning his smile.
Selina liked Bruce. She even liked him a little too much to be honest, but she didn’t like being treated like she couldn’t handle herself. The girl had been taking care of herself out there on the streets for years. Where was Bruce then?
“I’ve got this, Bruce.”
“Things aren’t always what they appear to be, love.” from Ivy at Selina

“Oh, I know,” she grinned, walking up to the other girl and eying her up and down deliberately. It was only for a short moment though, because with the next words out of her mouth, Selina’s expression turned a lot more serious. “And don’t call me love. It’s weird.”
Not because of the kind of relationship it might hint at to anyone listening, but the word itself rubbed her the wrong way. It didn’t belong in Gotham. And it definitely didn’t belong on the streets or in this part of the city.

As her lips brushed against his in the most tantalizing manner, Selina silently put the object on his desk behind him. It was something she knew he had missed --seeing as how she was the one who had stolen it-- and it felt like this was the most suitable day to return it. Others might not consider it a gift, but she knew Bruce was different. Why else couldn’t she stay away?
“Miss me?”
If it was unfinished, it was the fault of her. She's the one who could never stick around long enough to be with him more than one night. She kept him in her whip, always at a length. For Bruce, it only drove him to pursue her more. He landed shortly at Wayne Manor, the jet lowering discreetly into the Batcave. He did not hesitate to bring Selina there as she had already found her way in before. "Yes, in fact, I do. I have had the dress ready for when you returned." He admitted.
If there was one thing she loved about Bruce, it was how predictable he was. The saying opposites attract came to mind when it came to her own need to stay incalculable.
“I knew it,” she chuckled, shaking her head a little. If it wasn’t for her weakness for Bruce, she wouldn’t always keep coming back and he’d never assume that it was a good idea to keep dresses for her at ready. But what was a girl to do? The connection she felt to him didn’t seem to diminish, no matter how much she wanted it to.
The jet lowered enough that he could step in. He held out his hand to her. "I know you; you always come back." He stated. "What exactly are we not finished with?" He asked, taking his seat as pilot and plotting a course for Wayne Manor. "I don't think I have the right suit on for a date. Mind if I change?"
Selina didn’t like to be predictable, and hearing that it her return was something he was certain of by now, didn’t sit well with the brunette. If anything, it made her want to disappear right then and there, if it wasn’t for the fact that she was aboard the Bat Jet. “Pretty much everything is left unfinished with us, Bruce.”
Smiling slightly at the more easy banter, the woman eyed him once more in his batsuit. His body was more defined like this, but she knew he wore his expensive designer suits with style, too. “Sure.” Looking down at her own catsuit, Selina smirked as she took off her mask and leaned in closer to him. “–And I’m guessing you already have the perfect dress ready for me as well. Right?”
He stood at the edge of the window sill and pulled out his grappling hook, silently rappelling his way after the cat burglar. He was hopelessly hanging on suspense, something no one else left him with except Selina Kyle. He landed behind her, a dark, somber figure concealed with shadows. "Need a lift?" He asked, tapping a button on the wrist of his suit. A low rumble rippled through the air as the Bat Jet arrived. "Unless you have unfinished business?"
Selina could have easily made it off the roof in seconds, but she was stalling on purpose, wanting Bruce to catch up to her. When she heard the distinct thud of his boots, she turned to look at him.
The brunette was about to decline the offer, only having to go four blocks to where she stashed her motorcycle, but before she could, wind caused her hair to blow back and she looked up at the jet. Of course...
“Yes, you,” she teased, but she didn’t disappear on him this time as she actually moved towards him. “Next time you want to take me on a date, you should just ask.”
The Dark Knight cracked a smirk, something that was often difficult not to do when Selina was around. She had a point, so that night he planned to let her off the hook. "I took you to be a bit old to be collecting action figures." He said, pulling out a scanning tool to ensure the security systems remained down. The guards outside were having a nice nap courtesy of two tranquilizer darts. "Will you be in Gotham long?"
Glancing to the side as she moved passed him, Selina made sure to catch his eyes long enough so he would follow. As an expert thief, she knew never to stay at the scene for too long, even if there were no guards in sight.
“It’s not for my private collection,” she quipped, running her hand along the outline of the artifact, if only to reassure her it was still there. “This ancient little ‘action figure’ is worth thousands.”
At his question, she smirked as she easily pulled herself up at the rope she’d used to break in the first place and flipped the last part to where she landed gracefully onto the roof without making so much as a sound.
Selina didn’t answer him, not wanting to spoil the surprise of how long she’d be around this time. Mainly because she didn’t know herself. Still, she expected him to follow her in true Batman-fashion anyway.
