open to: verse/bottoms plot: freddie is an assassin/mercenary who has been together with your muse (who is a morally good/innocent person) a few times, and now they are both catching feelings which freddie is trying hard to deny because he’s not a good person and also he doesn’t want to put them in danger. your muse can either be in the dark or knows what he does for a living. bonus points if your muse has taken him in and patched him up before. (taboo is a okay if you wanna) verse: modern, maybe even fantasy
“I’m... no good for you.” Freddie turned away from the other man’s gaze, hating how that sounded — yet knowing in his heart it was the absolute truth. His profession wasn’t one someone could really advertise (to the general population anyway). He was a murderer and he’d since accepted there was no going back for him, no redemption for the things he did. “We both know that.” It was why he never indulged in one partner for too long, much preferring the comfort that anonymity brought. The ever-looming threat of falling for his myriad of sexual partners: them discovering what he does for living and subsequently leaving or reporting him, or worse still, staying; them being kidnapped and used as leverage against him. Whatever system he had before worked, so why then did he have to go and fuck it all up?
