The King has very little regard for the marriage customs of his people. He loves them dearly, and he knows they love him as well, but he had never felt the need to take a wife.

However, even his patience has limits, and he can only take so many comments from his dear siblings about how he needs to find a spouse before his mood starts to sour. When he is approached by the figure from the shadows, a problem becomes an opportunity.

The way Merrick arrives in Knossos is not particularly improper. After all, the King had negotiated with her keeper; her input is unnecessary. He still observes a modicum of tradition, as a group of ladies-in-waiting led by his sisters greet her before any man can.

"Come, sister," Acacallis calls with a smile, taking the role of the leader as the oldest, "let us help you get ready."

How had things ended up like this? A chase had turned quite deadly over a bride in the process of being demolished, the two running across it until they were at the edge with no where left to run. A gust of wind had knocked the platform they were on loose, and now the two stood at either ends. If one moves, the other gets sent into the rapids below of this storming night.

Yes, either one of them could jump to safety. It was a gamble, but it was still a better option of taking a dive with your arch nemesis. They both knew this, and the words that came out of Ratigan's mouth were NOT the ones Basil had hoped to hear.

"N-now hold on, Ratigan-" He stammered, quickly looking around. He stepped forward to make the platform just a touch more shaky to make sure that rat wasn't going to leave him for dead just yet. "We can BOTH make it out of this, you know it. We just need to move towards the center at the same time and jump- It doesn't have to be this way."

@intxlligentminds / @elxgantcaptain asked; When Hook was usually summoned by Malificent, he was usually STRAIGHT OFF THE BAT and raring to go with whatever she needed, what she wanted was his. But today.. He stepped through the portal and he looked rather TIRED.

The moment he stepped forth, she knew something was off. His posture was not upright and proper, his face sagged in exhaustion, and even the lack of pep in his step at the prospect of another round of their agreement. She should be offended. That is... If she hadn't grown to care about Hook beyond their arrangement. But her face didn't say as much as she stared at him, almost about to scold him...

Until she rolled her eyes and sat on her bed, beckoning him closer and allowing him to lay his head in her lap. Nothing more. Simply allowing him to rest there as she peered down at him, her face softening as she began to gently caress his face.

"All right. Out with it. What's happened that's started making you lose sleep? You look dreadful. This is no way for something I own to treat itself."

 The platypus had heard tales of an evil doctor, an evil human-ish doctor that is, that was actually competent in their plans and field. After the fiasco with Eggman, the mobian is... Open to new ideas. Maybe bounce a few concepts off of them. So a lovely invitation was sent from one doctor to a professor. Professor Venomous, he surely hopes you don’t disappoint. 

Surge and Kitsunami are locked in the lower areas of his secret lair for now. He doesn’t need those two interrupting and messing up his chance to actually have a decent, intellectual conversation with someone in a field he’s currently diving into. They may be good in concept... But rather rowdy in practice.

Doctor Starline calmly poured him and what he hoped to be his guest a glass of hot black tea. He should be arriving soon...

  “ Just a second! ” She called upon hearing the knock on the door, her attention glued to the small radio Nerissa had bought at the trinket shop a few weeks back. The redhead had been playing with for nearly an hour now, pressing buttons and trying to figure out exactly how it worked. Standing up from her spot on the bed, she smoothed down her dress before walking to the door. When she opened it, her eyes widened for a split second. “ … You really do like surprises, huh? ” She asked with a chuckle, not having expected him to show up right then. Then again, maybe he had forgotten about the date, though she hoped not.

Noah rocked on the balls of his feet as he waited for her, hearing her call out that she would be there in a second. He wasn’t even sure if she was expecting him at all to surprise her, but from the way she opened the door it was clear she didn’t know what was going on. “Of course I do. And I’m glad this one worked,” he replied with a laugh. He had been worried that she had been expecting all of this. Of course, he had told her he would take her out on a date, but he wanted to catch her off guard. “So, are you ready or do I need to wait some more?”
