@dazedreams // life in luxury
Peter had been to the tower many times before. The avengers frequented it regularly, too, and had more meetings in the living room than he could count. It was a place of comfort for them. Of peace. So he supposed he should’ve expected Tony to invite him to live there at some point or another. And, given the timing, he certainly couldn’t blame him. He’d only just gotten back from what people were calling the soul stone. He hadn’t acclimated to life on earth again yet. He was still terrified of not being around Darcy. Tony was just worried about him and wanted him to be where he could protect him. Thankfully, that offer extended both to Peter’s boyfriend and his aunt. Aunt May had her own floor in the tower, taking over Clint’s, as he’d moved out to the farm with his family, which was fine. Peter had learned that he’d always had his own floor, Tony had just been waiting to offer.
Peter looked around the room, eyeing the no doubt expensive sheets and the large window overlooking New York. “Are you okay with this?” Peter asked for the umpteenth time, soft brown eyes focusing on Darcy’s face. Peter was just concerned that he was uprooting Darcy, pulling him away from where he wanted to be. Living at Stark Tower was temporary, he knew. Tony just wanted to see him be normal again. And the older man needed to recover himself, too. Peter went back to scanning the room, a little amused that it was subtly colored after his Spider-Man suit, with blues and reds. The flatscreen facing the bed on the opposite wall was a little much, though. He tugged Darcy with him over to the bed, running his hand over the material. Expensive. But soft. He was endlessly thankful for that, at least, considering he was very particular about sheets and thread count now that he was so sensitive.
