Escaping the GOD of Despondence

Cadis Etrama di Raizel walked along the forest path. Certainly, this had been the way he had gone before, was it not? The trees looked so similar that it must be the right direction to get back to Frankenstein’s home after spending some time with the children. Perhaps he shouldn’t have taken those many turns around the city. The forest might have been a tad bit out the way in reality.
Still, the noble carried on in his journey home. Frankenstein would certainly be fine with him being so late getting back. After all, he would always find his way back home no matter how much time passed.
Raizel could stop for a short while and enjoy the nature around him for a small moment. He rarely spent time wandering on his own, even if it did mean becoming more lost than he already was. The trees in this area grew so well and the pathway was lined with flowers of a sort he had never seen before. It reminded him of his childhood, when things were much more simple.
He then thought of the ramyun Frankenstein would surely prepare him and sighed. The growing soup was such a splendor to witness. Raizel stopped and lowered his eyes to the ground, focusing his gaze on the moss growing on a tree’s roots. He had left the children hours ago. It could be hours still before he gets to indulge in the magnificence of that meal. What a tragedy.
