   first   ,   she   watches   .   “   now   ,   i   know   you   probably   don’t   want   to   hear   this   but   you   really   shouldn’t   drink   that   .   ”   she   rounds   the   corner   ,   skillfully   slipping   drink   from   his   grasp   and   drawing   it   to   her   .   “   i’m   playing   around   with   insomnia   cures   .   i   would   hate   to   have   to   explain   to   jewel   why   you’re   on   the   floor   of   the   kitchen   asleep   or   even   that   it   was   my   fault   .   ”   a   pause   .   “   i’ll   label   it   ‘   do   not   drink   ’   or   something   next   time   .   sorry   .   ”

   the   sound   of   miscellaneous   objects   hitting   the   floor   echoes   in   the   room   as   portal   closes   behind   her   .   small   female   looks   up   ,   a   smile   on   her   lips   .   it   had   been   a   very   long   time   since   she   laid   eyes   upon   her   ,   the   air   in   the   room   smelled   of   faint   familiarity   ;   at   least   she   was   consistent   . 

   “   you’re   here   .   and   without   witcher   attached   ,   how   lucky   for   me   .   ”   jest   dances   in   her   tone   .   “   i   hear   your   blonde   has   been   sowing   chaos   .   ”
