Kendall had healed but had yet to return to dancing afraid she would hurt her knee so soon after healing. She was also focused on Clu she hadn’t been able to see him since they had become an official item but she was thankful for Carey keeping her informed of the cycle well except for one thing that is. So she had tried her best to prepare herself to see Clu as he had asked about her. “Cluey.” She said simply wrapping the boy in an embrace careful not to squeeze too tightly. She wasn’t going to mention how thin he was or the fact that he had oxygen and a feeding tube or the fact that he was borrowing a wheelchair from the hospital. “I’m so glad you’re ok.” She tried to keep things light and upbeat because that was who he needed her to be in this moment.

Carey had just finished his shift at the hospital and sat his stuff down to go check on his brother knowing their father had been busy with him since he had disobeyed him. “Cluey?” He called out not seeing the teen anywhere he kept walking ending up in the basement. “Clu, are you okay?” He asked rushing to his brothers side. He looked him over and noticed his arm was broken and more bruises and cuts lining his body. “Hows your head? Double vision anything?” He asked a bunch of questions trying to figure out what to do first. He knew that he needed to contact the Tates as both Keeley and Kendall had been asking about him he would do that after the teen got to safety.

Carey still felt very uneasy about how his father and brother had returned home. Larkin had been acting as though everything was fine after holding Clu hostage. Carey hated that his brother had made him promise they wouldn’t return to the hospital. Larkin had hired people to look after Clu. Carey was sitting in his little brothers room where he had been living since his return. “Clu, you can’t keep letting him win. You’re going to die.” He said his voice faltering as he looked at how small his brother had gotten in the weeks he was gone. “I made a promise to you I wouldn’t let that happen. You can’t breathe on your own, you can’t even leave your bed. Let me do something please.” He begged him to let him help. He hated seeing his brother this way.

Carey had just gotten home from a 12 hour shift at the hospital but before he could go rest up he needed to check on his little brother. So he was currently in his brothers doorway. “Clu, how are you feeling?” He asked him figuring he wouldn’t get an honest answer from the teen. He could obviously see that he was tired and in pain but trying his best to hide it from everyone. “And before you think about lying to me Clu Davies, remember I just worked a twelve hour shift dealing with unruly patients. I don’t need to come home to deal with an unruly little brother who obviously needs my help.”

It had been several weeks since Clu had been admitted to the hospital and Kendall had been faithful coming by everyday. She was like clockwork all the nurses in charge of her boyfriend knew her. “He’s at therapy right now, Kendall but he should be back any minute now.” Nurse Hannah called to her as she walked the familiar route to his room. “I’ll just wait for him in there then,Hannah, thank you.” She smiled at the nurse before she rounded the corner to his room. She was only in the room for two minutes before her boyfriend returned. “ Hi baby.” She said a smile on her face as he was helped back in his bed. “Getting stronger every day.” She couldn’t help but smile she was so proud of him for working so hard to get out of the hospital.

chaperoned park date|Kendall & Clu

As soon as they were done with their skype Kendall called for Keeley to come back in her room. “I need to get to the park to see Clu. Can you help me?” She asked her sister knowing she needed the help after all her knee was pretty much shattered thanks to Larkin. “He’s having Carey drop him at the park. I figured this would be easier then him hurting himself via a screen.” Her voice a mix between nerves and excitment.
