Silence. Just the waves crashing along the side of the Thousand Sunny, the steady pwsh kshhh pwsh kshhh of the waters hitting the side. It was a quiet night, the ship was silent with everyone asleep, and the moon was only half visible in the sky. No islands nearby, and everything was calm for once. A long purple sea serpent tail swirled along the edge of the ship, twirling above the waves and vanishing under the waters in the darkness. The light of a sword hilt glinted under the moonlight in the water before vanishing again beneath the waters, waves rippling gently from the disturbance to the surface. Scales shivered along under the water for a moment before drifting from view again. Bright blue eyes could be seen catching a reflection of the moonlight in them under the water, before once again, disappearing under the dark of the murky ocean. A nearly translucent purple fanned tail tip would break the water's surface soon after eyes sank away, but it would quickly vanish as well, disappearing underneath the ship. If someone extended observation haki, they might feel something similar to a sea creature or a mermaid swimming underneath the Sunny. A long lull of silence would pull out as the sensation of the person would vanish a little deeper into the ocean's waters, the silence eerie due to the recent phantom like appearances of swords and tails in the water. King was just roaming the ocean waters when they came across the beloved Thousand Sunny, and they could barely contain their curiosity. If they climbed the ship now, they would surely get attacked, but patience really wasn't their forte. They really really just wanted to jump onto the ship and roam around, explore the cool ship they had only ever seen in writing and blueprints, but a massive half mermaid landing on the ship would surely wake someone up, and if not, it would definitely alert whoever was keeping watch. King's blue eyes stared up from the surface and spotted a head of green hair, and immediately the choice to get on the ship was null and void. There was absolutely no way they would survive that encounter, right? They were a great swordsman, but no way were they strong enough to seriously compete with the Roronoa Zoro. So they considered their options, confront him or play stupid. ... They decided to twist and turn, diving deeper under the waters. Playing stupid it was. Instead of accidentally challenging Zoro, they decided the best course of action was to occupy themself with investigating the build of the ship from under the water. To look around and peek at all the stories the ship's wood could tell. Hoping against hope, that Zoro would lose interest in their presence if he had noticed them.
