It was yet another day for Tsukito in the streets of Hive City. Another day that would drag until the night, but another day where he had to make an effort to step outside. Time in this place had taught him a few things, one of which was the frequency of which he needed to shop for food. So he’d ventured out, simply silently going about his business.
But one thing he never expected to spot in these streets was that familiar swathe of purple hair. Stopping dead in his tracks, the God stood there, golden eyes fixated on what he thought was someone he knew. There had been many times in this city that he thought he’d caught a glimpse of the familiar female, but in each of those times, he’d also been wrong. Surely today would be no different to those days?
No. As she continued on her way, Tsukito finally caught a glimpse of her properly. It was her.
Blinking to clear his sights, he shook his head, darting off into a run to catch her before she vanished into the crowds once more. It was strange... this new sense of sudden determination. But it couldn’t be helped... he’d felt isolated in this city. The other Gods seemed to come and go, and he hadn’t seen a single sign of Takeru. The loss of those bonds that he’d forged back in the academy was somewhat disheartening. Seeing Yui here though... that sparked up his hope once more. Having someone here that had taught him so much, he didn’t expect to feel it, yet his heart leaped in his chest.
Drawing up behind her, somewhat out of breath, Tsukito finally spoke up.
“Kusanagi Yui...”
Without him even realising, a smile had spread across his lips. A small, controlled smile... but a smile of happiness nevertheless.
