Something doesn’t feel right. It’s nearing half an hour and the rest of his groupmates have yet to arrive to work on their project together. He didn’t even bother to assign them materials to bring simply because he doubts they’ll even remember to bring them. He had taken that responsibility upon himself instead and as it turns out, he’s glad that he did. It doesn’t seem like they have any plans on joining at all.
Except for one.
Shinsou averts his eyes away from the textbook he’s been reviewing since he got to the diner to fixate his gaze on the only groupmate who had the decency to make an appearance. He hasn’t really said anything to her, even when she joined his table. He had just given her a nod of acknowledgment before refocusing back on his work.
But perhaps he should try to say something now. It seems like his classmate isn’t entirely happy with the lack of people at their table either. If they’re going to end up having to work on this themselves, then it’s better to communicate now than be given a failing grade.
❝I don’t think they’re coming.❞ He points out the obvious. ❝Should we just leave them out of this or what?❞
