“I do not. This ship needs to stop experiencing so much turbulence.”
The ship was fine, and the sailing had been fairly smooth. Sure, the raven seemed crankier than normal, but she was in the process of a moult– and crankier was normal– but that didn’t excuse her frequent spacing out and uncomfortably noticeable stumbling
Trinidad couldn’t help the hint of amusement that slipped into her expression. “Funny, I haven’t heard anyone else complaining. You’re the one experiencing turbulence. Which is why you should really be sitting down.”
She was tempted to place a hand on Kyrene’s shoulder, just to ensure she didn’t topple over, but considering how bristly the raven’s attitude had been lately Trinidad doubted she would take kindly to the gesture. She was worried about her friend, and it showed.
“No offense meant, but you look dead on your feet. Now go get some sleep - captain’s orders. Don’t make me carry you back to your bunk.”
