the Helibot's entire frame froze up in an instant, plating pressed tight to the protoform, though it didn't keep his rotor blades from shuddering with a loud sound. servos come up to press against his chassis, trying to keep them from shaking as he trembled,

" Wh-What? No, I don't feel that! How about we just don't leave the firehouse?? Is that an option?! "

while it had been a long time since he'd been on stage, little bits of his prior training as a performer peeked out every once in a while, especially when he played dance dance revolution with Frankie or Dani at the arcade. but today he wanted to stretch and see if he could still remember some of the steps to an old Iaconian dance he'd learned.

so when Heatwave entered the Bunker, he'd see Blades carefully dancing to a quiet hum of a tune, brow ridges furrowed as he took several steps and pirouettes. after a moment, Blade stops when he realizes he's being watched, a sheepish grin on his face,

" Oh hey, Heatwave! " he fidgets, " H-How much did you see? "

" Hey Chief! " the copterbot calls, excitedly walking up to the human with a grin, " Do you think we can go on patrol again? I know you didn't like my siren but I've been practicing and I think I've gotten better! "

he takes a deep invent, about ready to unleash his version of a police siren... please stop him.

Silent, gentle nudging to berth. He’ll even bring you a heating pad and your favorite fluffy blanket from the couch before turning the lights off. “Recharge.”

he's gonna whine a little, but doesn't fight the nudging. in fact, he's grateful, especially when 'Wave brings him a heating pad and his favorite blanket. he settles into his berth with a tired smile on his lipplates, " Thanks Heatwave. "

this bot was coming at him rather aggressively, but Blades kept a level head, servos out in a placating gesture, " I'm Blades, medic of the Sigma-17, and member of the Search and Rescue division of the Autobots. " he states, giving the other bot a look over before quirking his helm,

" We're on the same team, right? I've never seen your insignia before, but it looks Autobot to me. "

Blades can't help but find but find relief in the hug, and when he pulls away he feels better now that he knew Heatwave was there, along with knowing the place was empty. his frame doesn't shake anymore, though his servos are still a lil unsteady, but he just wrings them to keep himself focused.

" Yeah... It was awful! I swear my voice box broke, but thankfully it didn't. " he said, king around a moment before he starts scooping up the decorations he'd previously dropped, " I don't think I'm gonna recharge right for a month! "

he frowns down at the decorations, still really upset about this whole thing before he looks over at Heatwave at the sound of something being crunched under peds. helm quirks to the side in confusion, before there's a dawning realization as Heatwave figures it out before him. he frowns even harder,

" High Tide? Why would he do this?! "

As he pulled into the garage, Heatwave heard what sounded like screaming coming from the bunker level.

Popping open his driver side door, he all but dumped Kade out on his aft.

“Stay here.”

Ignoring the grumbling protests from his partner, the firebot boarded the lift and slammed his palm against the Down button.

Spotting the jumble of Halloween decor strewn about the floor below, Heatwave jumped from the platform before it had even finished locking itself into the floor.

“Blades?!? Are you here??”

Blades had hidden himself behind a bend in the tunnels, having curled into himself as he blubbered and whimpered. if he could cry, he would definitely be a mess right now. he'd been sitting there with his knees up to his chassis, and his face hidden behind his servos for a long while.

that is until he heard Heatwave's voice echo through the tunnels, making him jump a little but he relaxed somewhat in his familiar tones. quietly and carefully, the helibot uncurls himself, a shaking servo raising up to cup his mouth,

" H-Heatwave? " he called out nervously, optics darting around in the dark to make sure that THING hadn't followed him into the tunnels, " There's a MONSTER in the bunker! " he called, voice strained and interlaced with static from the previous blow out.

scrambling to his peds, he quickly but cautiously makes his way out of the tunnel, seeing Heatwave in the bunker proper and instantly hugged him, " Oh, Heatwave, it was awful! There was this THING, b-big and scary! It had a big pyramid head thing! It scared me so bad! " he pulls away, before looking around again, " It's not s-still here, is it? "

There was heavy footsteps following Blades around the dark hallway, followed by some sort of deep growl as well. Those footsteeps only got closer. And closer. And closer...

If he were to turn around? He'd only be able to see a tall figure with a pyramid for a head, with a threatening roar echoing from it and both servos up as he was about to lunge at the copter.

Run.

Blades had been busy all day setting up the firehouse to fit the Halloween theme, giddy for the trick or treating ritual they got to indulge in since Cece was still small enough to go. that day was still pretty far away, but that didn't stop Blades from being completely engrossed in his decorating.

that is, until he made in into the bunker, where the footsteps echoed around and had him dropping the spooky bats he'd been putting up everywhere. there's a lil whimper that leaves his intake, orange optics darting around as he shivers. no one was supposed to be in here right now....

slowly, he turns... and sees the large figure looming behind him, causing him to scream until his vocalizer glitches out. he doesn't make it to the bunker elevator, instead running down one of the bunker tunnels leaving all his decorations scattered all over the place.

if one were to search for the poor helibot, he'll probably be found huddling in a tunnel, in the dark, whimpering while hiding his optics behind his servos.
