He might have made a mistake sending flowers, but he could have continued to pretend that ghosting Isko would solve his problems. He could have. But then he woke up that Sunday morning with a dream of time spent with Isko in a different lifetime and it was too much to bare. He stared at those messages until he finally broke.

He had been working on his necromancy with his aunt since he'd started hiding out with her, but he sometimes felt the need to leave for a while so he could work on it more and not freak out Elliot too much in the process, or his sweet dog.

Rei had managed to find one lone zombie and was working to control it. It was going fine so far, the magic had worked and the zombie was obeying his magic commands, but he wasn't paying enough attention to realise they weren't alone. Finally, he heard movement and he spun around, not seeing anyone right away.

"I heard you over there," he called out. If it was a zombie, it would have come right at him. It had to be another person. "Come out before I sick this zombie on you."

With a hint of magic making him a little more of a troublemaker than usual, Rei was finding himself enjoying the festival to the fullest. There were lots of people to talk to, and vampires all around. Even so, there weren't any olive leaves hanging around his neck. There was only one vampire he'd let bite him and besides, he didn't need his father seeing and giving his opinion on the matter. That would be a damper on things and he was here to have fun, not get lectured.

Seeing Isko across the way, his expression grew into a wide grin. He looked good in his Icarus outfit but, then again, he always looked good. Between that deadly vampiric beauty and his natural charm, it was impossible for Rei to stay away. It was why he always ended up leaving these events with him.

"Hey there, handsome," he hummed as he stepped into place next to him, arm slipping into his easily. "Miss me?"

After getting separated in the crowd, Rei had gotten himself another drink, and a hint of something extra to add to the experience of the night, especially for his favourite vampire. It'd been a while since he'd partied like this and it was taking him longer to find Isko than he would have liked. Eventually, he spotted the glowing blue mask and beelined his way over to him, sliding up against his side.

"Hey you. Having fun without me?"

Every time another attack happened, their anger would motivated their drive for more patrols. Judas had already killed a handful of Artemis followers and while they normally didn't thirst for violence, they did in this case. Of course, they made sure to have a buddy with them on their patrols. The last thing he needed was to get caught by himself and put in a bad situation. Naz and Arjun would certainly chew his ear off for it if he did.

They checked their phone again to make sure this was the right meeting place, but they saw their friend when they looked up. "And here I thought I was getting stood up," he called with a chuckle.
