Where: Garond District Hospital Who: @vivian-ambrose Whatever angels guarded the city, and he doubted even a saint watched over Vievecor City, had decided to open the heavens this morning. Cool rain pounded the concrete and citizens alike. Against a neon colored food truck, his lonely figure dotted among the few in line for the best greased up burritos this side of the city. The wafting of eggs and burning meat floated past a pair of hungover tourists causing his stomach to grown. In response the set of med students giggled and Howell did his best to ignore them. His focus was turned to a prayer, he wasn't up for dealing with any drunken messes this morning in his ER. Hopefully the tourists were just a taste of the city and not his shift to come.
"The everything stuffed, right doc?"
Even this early in the morning, he could gather enough muster to force a small smile. "Predictability is an astute quality you know."
The rain turned sideways as he grabbed his breakfast, the tortilla shell expelling its warmth in the wet morning. The man wouldn't call himself impulsive, it's not that he lacked the ability to hold off on eating the burrito. It's that he needed to scarf it down before the charge nurse clocked him for almost running behind schedule. Even at forty seven you don't always have your life together and anyone that says otherwise, has money or lies.
Just as he pushed in the last morsel of eggy goodness he rain into a warm body. Clearly they'd been inside longer than his dripping self had. His hands caught the blonde by each shoulder, firmly but gently holding on to make sure she was ok. "Woah there Viv. Nothing's that important...or am I missing something important?"
