Even though Zed knew he had triggered a vision on purpose more than once, she also knew he was nothing like her father. His need came from a good place. He just wanted to help people --save them before it was too late. And wasn’t that her goal, too?

“When I die, I want you to have as many clues as possible.” Squeezing her eyes shut, she tried to force forth the next vision so she could start drawing another ominous scenario for John to investigate.

Zed looked at him with wide eyes for a moment, until realization sunk in. God was his father. Ignoring the shoes, seeing as how that hadn’t even been what she’d been pointing out to begin with, she couldn’t help but question him now, the eagerness written all over her face. “What’s it like? Being the son of God?” 

Adding as an afterthought, she nodded in the direction of his wall. “And I was actually talking about the art.”

❝ you’re awake! ❞ despite his statement, zed couldn’t keep the smile from spreading on her face. her relief was immense, but she also knew that getting him up too quick might be a bad idea, so she’d give him a moment for now.

Zed regarded the other woman for a minute. It wasn’t like she didn’t like Liv. She did, but the knowledge that the other brunette would one day be taking her place in John’s life was a bitter pill to swallow. After all, this tumor wasn’t going to magically disappear. Or was it?

Handing over the map to Liv, she finally nodded, before opening her car door. They had a long drive ahead of them, and she wasn’t going to waste another minute. “Just don’t start bleeding all over this map. We don’t have time to stop everywhere else.” 

Deciding that might have sounded a little harsher than intended, she waited to meet Liv’s eyes and smiled. Zed did appreciate the help. She was just out of sorts lately, always trying to chase more visions before it was too late. And now, seeing her father in one...Well, it wasn’t like she was going to spend her last days running from him. No, it was time to protect herself and any girl he might try to use afterwards. It was time to put a stop to him, once and for all.

Wait, Zed-or whoever you are. He said he’d be back in a few hours, you’d be better off waiting here. Besides, you sound like you’ve gone through a lot lately, you might as well try to relax while there’s nothing else to do.

Nodding at the other’s words, Deadman sat back down on the couch. It was best to wait, because he didn’t want to risk the body he was in unnecessarily. “I have,’ he agreed simply, breathing out a deep sigh. “But it isn’t easy to relax when there is so much at stake.”

Uh huh... you look a lot like Zed to me. Either way, I don’t know, around here somewhere? Can you be more specific on what’s happening?

“That’s because I’m using her body to get close to John Constantine. He is the only one who can save us now.” Shaking his head, or her head-- however you wished to look at it-- Deadman turned away from the other person in his search of John. “I don’t think you can help.”
