Mum cooked a couple of Threadfin Steaks (午鱼) with leeks and minced pork. This premium fish 🐟 is expensive to buy so we seldom cook it, but it is incredibly tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture with a mild, sweet, and naturally rich flavour. The second dish for dinner is Braised Pork Belly 🐖 (卤五花肉) with egg 🥚 and shiitake mushrooms. I drizzled some of the gravy over the steamed rice, took this picture and dug in.
