"Hey, Jin. How are you doing?" Caroline asked, when the man came into her store one afternoon. One thing she loved about owning the store was meeting people who were interested in music in all kinds of ways. Jin was a music producer, which Caroline found absolutely incredible. "I have a student who has been doing really well recently, wants to be a singer-songwriter. I can show you a few videos she put up on YouTube, if you're interested in me shooting her your way."

"Hiya, Jin. Here for anything in particular?" She asked the man as he walked into the store. He hadn't been in town long, but has already become a regular customer that Caroline liked. It was nice to talk to people who had all kinds of relationships with music, and Jin's was by far the most interesting. "We got some blank music sheets in yesterday if you're looking for anything like that."

Ana was a little drunk from once again limiting herself to spirits, but she was sure she recognized the DJ from her old life. He was actually a pretty big deal, so she wondered how he ended up in Maple Brook. If his story in any way bared resemblance to hers.

It wasn't like she met him often, but you couldn't forget someone famous being in your proximity. Even if it was just a handful of times. Her father, her adoptive father, was somewhat in the public eye - so she met a few famous people. Yet every single one felt like a novelty.

The drink was definitely the reason she was staggering over to the DJ booth, but she found herself there nonetheless. "Jin?" She slurred out a little. "You work here?"

"How are you finding this gig?" Caroline asked Jin, as she approached him at the desk. She set down a drink for him - she knew that she always needed a bottle nearby when she was playing somewhere. "There's lots of people dancing! That's a good sign, right?" She said, before looking over the bar in general. She mostly came to support the cause, but it was nice to catch up with friends.

Colin made his way over to Blackstone Brews to have a coffee during his lunch break, when he found himself having another story idea that he needed to jot down. As he walked into the cafe, he pulled out his phone and jotted down the idea - it was one that pretty much took a whole paragraph, so in hindsight maybe walking while typing was a bad idea. Unfortunately, the problem didn't occur to him until he bumped into someone. "Oh god, I'm so sorry." He said, looking up from his phone and at the man in question.

Caroline grew to hate nightclubs since she quit drinking. Bars she still found enjoyment in, but nightclubs? It was loud and crowded. Most people were annoying drunk instead of the kind of drunk she found funny and amusing. There were plenty of times when she acted as designated driver when one of her friends would want to go to a nightclub, and she was always miserable there.

But she promised Jin she'd come by and listen to one of his sets, so after finding a sitter for Jonathan, she found herself at Supernova. She spent a good portion of the night sitting at a table, away from the dance floor, sipping on soda, and trying to block out everything except the quality of the music. That became a tad easier since she quit drinking on her ADHD medication.

Afterwards, she greeted her friend with a hug. "How are you doing?" She shouted over the loud music of the following DJ. "Do you want to go somewhere quiet?"
