When they had been after volunteers to go film some of the victory tour Cressida hadn't been able to get hand into the air fast enough. Of course she would have preferred to have been offered the job, but she wasn't going to let anyone take up this chance. Katniss and Peeta were going to be two of the most famous of the victors, and Cressida wanted to be right up in the action. Of course, after speaking to Con about it, she also knew that it was also going to be beneficial to the Rebellion too. One, to get some footage of Katniss, but also so she could get to know her better.

And so, with her team of camera people, she had hopped on the train to District 12. She'd never been there before. Whilst she'd been to some of the other districts with Con, she'd never been to the outlying districts. And when she got there, she realised why. She might not be loyal to the Capitol any longer, but she did quite like the luxuries that she found there. Being in District 12 was a stark comparison.

Cressida had been a little in and out during the victory tour, heading back to the Capitol every so often. But she'd made sure to be back in District 12 for their Harvest Festival and the last day of the Victory tour. They were getting ready, Cressida trying to take a few candid shots of things. "Relax a little." Was the advice that Cressida gave Katniss following her question. "Smile." She added a few seconds later. "The cameras will be all gone tomorrow. One last day to deal with us."

Cressida hadn't thought it would be this bad. She supposed she should have known better. She'd spent the past however many years learning about how bad the Capitol really was. And yet, she was continually surprised. District 8 had been bad, but this was even worse. She had been trying to contain her shock, her upset. She wasn't from here. She wasn't seeing her home bombed to ruins. Cressida didn't think it was right for her to be upset. But the loss of innocent life would always be upsetting to her. It was why she was so determined to be involved with the rebellion, with the movement to end the games. That desire didn't make it any easier today though. As they'd moved around, Cressida had briefly wondered if she'd regretted joining the mission, wondering if she should have delegated it to someone else on the team.

It was those thoughts that had drawn her to Katniss when they were having a short period of down time. She didn't really know what to say. What did one say when someone was walking around the ruins of their home, seeing the bodies, and the tatters of what remained of District 12. It had all almost made her feel guilty for recording it all on camera. She didn't know what to say, not wanting to make things worse for the younger woman in front of her.

"Tell us when it's enough...." She knew there was an agenda here. That Coin wanted the footage. But right now Cressida didn't give too much care to that. The mental well-being of those she was filming was more important. "We can stop. We have enough footage." Cressida was good at what she did. She was good at producing films. If Gale, Cael and Katniss wanted to stop right now, she would make the footage they'd done so far work. "I can handle the flack from Coin. Your well-being is more important to me." Even if it wasn't too everyone else. And even then, she supposed well-being was a long shot. Cressida didn't know how what they were seeing right now could not affect anyone's well-being. But she was trying.

Yeah...." Cress's voice trailed off, and she didn't talk again. Whilst she would have loved to be honest with Katniss. She couldn't. Not yet. It was too risky. And her position was important. Things were not ready yet. It would hopefully all change soon in the future. But Cressida was in this for the long run. To change their world. It wasn't going to be achieved quickly, and she wasn't going to ruin the effort she had made so far by saying something wrong. Whilst she wanted to get Katniss on side, she'd rather have her think she was just another Capitol person. At least that way she could be useful to the rebellion in more than just a filming way.

"Obviously." Cressida wasn't that dumb. Katniss and Peeta hadn't exactly been important a year ago. A year ago they'd just been names like any of the others in District 12. So, she'd figured this festival wasn't about them. Cressida knew the Capitol viewers wanted it to be about Katniss and Peeta. Cressida wasn't about that though. Especially when she could tell when Katniss and Peeta had had enough. And whilst she had come here having been told what she needed to film, she knew that putting people in front of a camera when they didn't want to be there didn't always end well. "Not exactly." She mused with a laugh. "I've been told what they want me to film." And to go against what Snow wanted was a death wish. "I don't have as much freedom as I would like." Which was another reason for her wanting to be in the rebellion. She was looking forward to getting to eventually film whatever she wanted. "I do have some say.... when I know the shot isn't going to work or when the stars have had enough." She mused, giving her a little shrug. That was Cressida's way of saying she wasn't going to make Katniss get in front of the camera anymore. As far as Cressida was concerned she had enough footage.

"I don't know...." She mused, her voice genuinely truthful. "I've always been comfier behind the scenes I suppose." And some of those big poofy dresses her stylists put her in were really awful. "Sounds much more my scene." It was funny really, considering how far up into the elite her family was. "I intend to do just that..... " And that was the truth.
