Next Steps; Kal and Wolf
A continuation from this thread.
.....Fuck. A pillar of blue-black flame and smoke brought him here- outside of the building where his flat was. Where his pup was. His pup- thrown to the side by a would-be god. A pup who was lied to, lied about by that man. A pup who had come so, so beautifully far in just two month's time.. And a pup who had at least two strong beings looking for him.
"....Fuck....." Kal sighed outwardly to himself, hands on his hips as he looked up at the building where his pup no doubt sat in that little chair, waiting for him to be back. Kal had said he'd be going on a patrol at least; He never left Wolf without telling him he was leaving, so Wolf knew he'd be coming back. The Pillar here had thankfully burned away the lingered evidence of the tears he'd shed on the shoulder of a strange, strange demon. Ash. Kal felt his head tilt a little. Ash was an odd one for sure. And he was a touch too... fine with the idea of going back smelling so strongly of Kal. Wonder how that would actually turn out for the demon. Tsk... Hopefully well enough. Those poor pups needed that demon. It'd be a shame if he passed. What had those two pups' names had been? The ones he swore to protect if something did go pear-shaped? Sprite? No.. Squirt and Koong. A hand rose, hovering over the spot on his forehead. Somehow, he could tell from that alone, that Ash was alive. Would that shift if something happened? Would that be his sign to find those pups and save them?
Shit... He was... Stalling? Wolf deserved better than that, better than the phantom fear eating away at the back of his mind making his wait and worry more. He deserved the world. And at the very least, he deserved to know the Truth; That he hadn't been forgotten.
So with a soft sigh, Kal let a Pillar take him to their door. He knocked seven rhythmic times to signal it was him before pressing inside. And fucking hell how easy it was to smile at the sight. His pup in that chair, hair longer, freer.
"Hey Pup" He cooed as he walked in, Wolf's cheeks cupped in his hands, chin resting against Kal's chest in an instant.
