“Ercole is stupid.”
“Wait -- i wanna be the tallest.”

Capri’s head rests on his arms as he listens to Luca tell him about the stars. His eyes droop partially, he wanted to listen, of course, but...He felt strangely comfortable in the presence of the other.
“When Big Capri told me there were other sea monsters my age, I didn’t expect them to be...” Capri trails off, realizing he was speaking aloud. He tended to do that. Apparently, the habit of talking to yourself was hard to break after years alone. Big Capri had told him to be careful of that, as speaking his thoughts aloud often got him into trouble. His cheeks blush slightly as he tries to look away now,
“cool.” He finishes, feeling a bit more embarrassed at the admission than at the fact he wasn’t able to keep his thoughts to himself.

Oh, it’s that guy again. Big Capri had told him to stay away from the older not-kid, apparently, he was bad news. Capri’s hands shake a little as he tries to figure out the best way to get to the gelato shop without interference. But try as he might, his leg was killing him. He was pretty certain that something had popped out of place, and was currently stabbing his skin through the fabric. That meant, the only path he could take was straight through the fire. Fine. How bad could the other be to the one-legged kid, right?
“Scusi.” Capri mutters as he attempts to get past.
“It’s a human thing. I’m kind of an expert.”
“Quick! I need a boyfriend to confuse my dad. Who’s going to hold my hand?”
“Wait, what do you mean that’s stealing--wait what’s stealing--I should probably just put this down, shouldn’t I?”
“saving relationships is sort of my thing.” says the boy who struggles to even be in the same room as his crush.
