"You're so lucky that you're my brother." @saltzblood
@therogueprincedaemon || [bridget/daemon]
The sight of a new, unknown dragon flying beside Caraxes astounded King’s Landing. It was immediately recognized as an ancient one with a rider that could be named a legend, one that didn’t succumb to dust. Shortly after the landing, Bridget whispered a few words in Valyrian to Terrax, asking him to remain calm as it was a foreign land filled with foreign faces. Carrying her family’s sword on her back, she followed Daemon to the main hall where the family was gathered around the King, stunned by the news they received that Daemon had brought a woman with a dragon, and were awaiting to learn about her ever since he had given information on where she came from. Bridget was not ignorant to their traditions and customs, so she dressed in clothing to impress, even though that wouldn’t be the main reason for their impression.
Once they stepped into the hall, she stood beside him for a few seconds as the family was stood around the table, awaiting to be seated and start the feast. Lilac hues observed their faces attentively & was quick to gather who were the Targaryens, Velaryons and the Hightowers. What she was told by Daemon about the snakes was no exaggeration & she could see it in their own eyes, how they seemed to regard her as an incoming threat. Her performance, the time where she would greet each one of them had arrived, and she would do so boasting her charm. With not a word leaving her mouth, she started with the youngest Targaryen, Rhaenyra. Approaching her, she placed a hand on her shoulder as a smile spread across her plump lips. “Rhaenyra, what a pleasure to finally meet you. I had learned many interesting facts about you, and I do look forward to aiding you in developing your true potential.” Her gaze left hers briefly to wander over the faces of the Hightowers and Viserys, hand sliding from her shoulder to the other as she strode behind her to Rhaenys and Corlys, confident on the steps she was giving towards each of the members. Hands folded together across her belly, skin brushing silk of her own dress. “Dear Rhaenys, tales of your family’s fierceness are spoken across the world. The depth of the sea with the heat of the fire.” Her gaze shifted from her to Corlys, humming almost quietly.
The moment had reached Laena, who was standing beside her father. “Lady Laena.” Her elbow bent and propped on the opposite hand, index finger rubbing her own chin gently. Bridget could say many things to her out of cockiness, how her husband found warmth in her bed, yet she would limit herself to a few sentences. “You are a woman that has been... graced by the Gods.” Tilting her head to a side, her orbs wandered across the room to Daemon. Images of the nights they shared emerged in her thoughts, repressing the urge to expose her grin of satisfaction. With Laena, though, the charming facade remained, a tint of smugness. “You have a strong, committed husband. I have nothing but gratitude to you for... borrowing him to me for this moment.” As she left to head towards Viserys, her gaze, now narrowed, locked with Otto’s briefly, darting a subtle glare at him as well as Criston who stood behind him and had his eyes on her. Body turned to face Alicent and Viserys, with the King seated due to his health condition. Bridget's arms fell to her sides and hands reached for one of his, palms pressing his gently to the surprise of Alicent. "King Viserys." Her facade faded, concern & care washing over her visage, as she knew she was standing beside Daemon's brother and a King surrounded by some folk who weren't worthy of their titles. "We come from the dragonlords themselves. Valyria runs in our blood. It lives through us. Let your realm be an image of what Old Valyria has been. I am the daughter of Aurion, the dragonlord who was the Emperor of it all once. I survive my family and his name, joined by my sword and my dragon. And as a Valyrian, I offer you my protection and my aid in any danger that may come your way."

There was a grand admiration to the prince's actions with the way he stepped into the room, thoughts of him learning her usual doings were a reason to earn him a praise, but one that would be expressed through ways to unleash carnal wishes. Bridget's gaze locked with his own as he undressed; the eye contact showing her own confidence, not once leaving it as she was still seeing his bare body, her chest rising & sinking while her heartbeats quickened. His tall, muscled frame, one of a knight, a King even, being a delight. Fingers curled around the cup, bringing it to her lips to take a sip of wine while she feasted her eyes on his body as he stepped into the tub, an instinct telling her to just venture into her own carnal cravings, but she was willing to do some foreplay, the one she felt pleased to do before the final treat. But she was unsure if he'd act before it could end.
She hummed pleasingly, a chuckle slipping from her as his inquiry amused her. "I don't believe your intentions are set to just be an observer, Daemon." His name rolled out from her tongue in a slight slow pace, setting the cup of wine down beside her as she'd definitely drink a liquid that'd be more satisfying & coming from himself. Her body temperature had increased, becoming flustered with colour of her cheeks blooming into a light pink shade. Bridget wouldn't allow for her needs that were built up to crumble like dust & having a atrong dragon opposite her was awakening her lust. With feet pressed against the bottom of the tub, Bridget pushed herself forward, a wet, glistening hand pressing against his broad chest, nails raking against his skin as her free hand undid her crown braids, dark hair falling graciously over shoulders & along the sides of her face. "Whet are those cravings you speak of, prince? I'm curious..." She purred, lips brushing one of his cheeks with warm breath leaving her lips slightly coated in wine. Gaze fell down to her fingers, hand sliding down his frame to delve underwater, smirking with the teasing she was giving to him.

The thought of leaving her home was difficult to digest. It had been many years, where she built her own small kingdom & leaving it was causing some heartache. Nevertheless, facing Westeros and introducing herself to them as another survivor of Old Valyria. It wouldn’t prove to be simple, yet Bridget was willing to accept the challenges she had to face to be by Daemon’s side. With a serene aura, a diplomatic politeness & discernment from her senses, difficulty over seeing who were the snakes wouldn’t exceed her. If there was a trait to be admired from the princess was her lack of fear over any single being; they’d have to fear her if they ended up testing her patience or doing something she found displeasing. Bridget folded her arms, thumbs rubbing the silk material of her dress that wrapped around her skin, violet gaze fixed on his own & never leaving them as he spoke to her. Eye contact was a way for her to determine if the person was worth her trust as they revealed many aspects of the person before her. Having shared nights and moments with Daemon, she knew she could trust every word he said by his subtle commitment to her. After he finished speaking and pressed a kiss to her forehead, Bridget slowly began to pace around him before she spoke her thoughts out loud.
“No matter how many times a snake sheds its skin, it will always be a snake.” It was a matter that had to be solved, one she wouldn’t hesitate to if they tested her or attempted anything against him. More than what they had done. And after what transcended with her own family, the thought of traitors in the council made her blood boil, yet the grin spreading across her lips with eyes sparkling in delight expressed her desire to have their heads. “Pōnta kessa rhaenagon pōja vējes aderī.” (They shall meet their fate soon.) She hummed softly, head turning towards him. “ I look forward to meeting the King to learn how he handles the realm. It will be an useful knowledge. You have been deprived of the Iron Throne. Wouldn’t you be pleased if one day, you sit on it?”
She stopped pacing when she was standing before him and her arms unfolded, her hand reaching for his resting on the handle of his sword, tips caressing his skin. Her grin was replaced by a slight smile. “If the rumours I’ve heard are ones that don’t end up in just blatant hearsay, then you must know. . .” Commoners spoke of Laena as a princess that wouldn’t fight and had a fascination with flying dragons only. “Iksan daor hae aōha ābrazȳrys.” (I am not like your wife.) She cocked her head, moistening her lips with her tongue as her hand left his to press her palms together. The idea of princesses not fighting was astounding to her, yet Bridget had bigger aspirations if she were to settle in Westeros. “I don’t mean to sound disrespectful to any of you. But you must be prepared. And Caraxes. . . I know he’s as committed as his rider.”

Bridget observed him attentively; the sight of a man whose blood made them both connected was fascinating. Not that he was the one & only; but he was the first to approach in good terms, to wander farther from his home to find her. She studied him vividly; his blonde straight hair framing his face & how he reacted to what he was witnessing before his eyes. She could tell he was confident on every step he took; be it either for the best or the worst. What he wished or wanted, he'd find ways to acquire.
Despite living secluded, there were no more than three times she'd travel on horseback to the nearest cities to allow herself to be informed of what was transcending in Westeros. Dressed in a long black cloak, the princess would be skillful & sharp-witted to gain friends while keeping her identity a secret. Posing as just a typical woman named Eve, Bridget heard of the stories of dragons; the houses & the King. The last she'd hear was about the unfortunate changes in King's Landing, the battles in the narrow sea & the crabfeeder. Westeros was pictured as chaotic in her mind & she hadn't learned all of it. Certainly, being settled in a place where Terrax was guarding her while she slept was a gift in the midst of what unfolded in the world.
His gesture was positively received, with a slight smile of her own as reassurance the moment he stood upright to face her. Having seen all types of men in the past, the cowards were not of her liking. Bold, strong & possessing skills & wit were her best fit, although Daemon was different from any other & couldn't be compared as there was already a bond formed by Old Valyria. Listening to his offers & the subtle way he'd even suggest some form of company, Bridget let out a small hum and processed his words in her mind, a smirk being more prominent across her soft, plump lips.
"Nothing would be more delightful than having your company along with your strong dragon.." A hand snaked up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear & then roamed down to her chest, fingers cupping the centerpiece of her long collar, a gift given to her by her mother before she passed. Eyes stared into his own, lips pursing as she carefully thought of the words she'd mention. "but I must mention that would be anything but pleasant to your wife, Lord Targaryen. I hold no desire of fighting with a house whose members are also bound to us by blood & history." Merely, the mention of his status was meant not as a barrier but as an effortless option to learn about what he'd decide.
"My father, Aurion... He was a good Lord, but the poison that flowed through his council members were sufficient for him to lose his sanity. One day, he declared himself the first Enperor of Valyria, with no knowledge of what the title represented. He vanished." Her hand wandered lower to rest on her stomach. A gesture that represented protection of her emotions, as she was discussing a sensitive topic. Her smirk had long faded. "My mother lived only a few days after his disappearance. She was killed. Considered a traitor like my father for declaring themselves Emperors. I had to vanish otherwise they'd have killed me."
Without any hesitation, she stepped closer to Daemon, keeping two inches of distance. Bridget leaned into his ear, exhaling softly through parted lips. Her eyelids fluttered close, giving herself a few seconds of silence. "That is what ambition, if not caused properly, could lead us to. In our world, in Westeros... Actions could lead you to peace... or war, prince." She whispered, her voice smooth as silk.
“We are all the pieces of what we remember.” (For Bridget)
the infernal devices … sentence starters.
Terrax, the dragon, rested behind his fierce dragonrider, princess Bridget, as she addressed the claim of the rogue prince. A hand of hers was placed on the fire-breathing creature’s head, near the large scaled mouth, a sign that it was meant to be calm, as there was no threat before her. Just like the rest, Terrax could sense if any danger would be imposed over their leader, but no defence was presented before a dragonblood such as Daemon Targaryen.
Bridget’s gaze rested on her dragon, the muscles on her face relaxed as the wind flew past her frame & brown strands of hair were pushed back with the breeze. House Targaryen could prove to be their allies in a current time where many wished the Iron Throne; where treason was just by their side, even within the councils. With the disappearance of Aurion, her father, Bridget had suffered & witnessed treason; those who claimed themselves to be loyal to him had sought to claim the house entirely, and as a result, Bridget chose to have their heads before she could assure herself that no one would reveal there was a descendant of one of the noble houses from Old Valyria.
Her arm lowered & her hand moved away from Terrax, taking steps towards Daemon, eyes meeting his own. Terrax’s heavy breathing could be heard, blended with the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks. They were in a secluded location of the region, where Bridget made herself a home in one of the ancient buildings, far from any city, from any civilization. There were rumours of another dragon overflying the skies, but none could exactly determine where the dragon resided, nor whom he belonged to. Should the curiosity exceed the common folk’s minds, they’d be faced with the dragon’s wrath.
“I have the misfortune of those pieces, Daemon Targaryen. Most are terrible. Terrax and I, we are the remaining pieces of my house. A house that if it had not been for my father’s ambition & the fall of Valyria, we’d still be here. Fighting beside you, but I can only offer what you’re seeing.”
