Previous part First part
CW- Abduction, restraint.
Remus was stunned that anyone would want to break into the kebab shop. For a second, he thought perhaps it was Barty, but he pushed that thought aside. Barty was lying low, and a break-in would bring eyes on him that he didn’t want. Remus picked up his phone and was just about to call the police when his door crashed open, splinters of wood spraying across the room, and four hulking men dressed all in black shoved their way in and grabbed him before he could even make sense of what was happening. A gag was roughly wedged in his mouth, and a blindfold tied around his eyes. Remus thought they’d maybe been sent to threaten him; the Blacks must have been waiting for him to message Sirius. He’d been such a fool. He’d thought that until they began to drag him out of the flat and bundled him into the back of a car.
They drove in silence for some time. Remus lost track of all the turns they made, and he couldn’t guess how long they’d been travelling. Eventually, the car pulled to a stop and Remus was dragged back out of it. He tripped when they began to walk forward, but the men were unsympathetic and continued on, Remus trying to get his feet back under him.
He was led down a set of steps. The room was colder than it was outside, and he was pushed down into a chair. Remus grunted as his arms were yanked behind him and the bite of plastic cable ties cut into his wrists as they were zipped closed. The same was done to his legs. He was stuck.
Remus took deep, steadying breaths through his nose. The men stood on either side of him as the sound of high heels clicked across the floor. The blindfold was ripped mercilessly from around his eyes, taking a few hairs with it. He squinted as the bare lightbulb above him stabbed into his eyes.
“You!” A familiar voice spat at him. He looked up, forcing his eyes open, and looked into the face of Walburga Black.
