Luca brought Ignace to Ansel's pack, way back when Ignace was in his teens. The rich boy couldn't take the pressure his mother was putting on him, and his instincts yearned for a life fit for a Wolf. Out in the wild, not locked up in a golden cage. Turned into quite the party dude as he grew older, but still has that royal dignity drilled into him. Having his packmates watch him grow feeble went against his pride.

This takes place post-Collapse, the body count was high in the apocalypse. Nate already had a few hauntings here and there. This curse in particular came into being from the mixed Anima of deceased children, many killed by demons or mutants. Or simply from to accidents or starvation. This congealed haunt yearns to have its lost life back.

With no Agency left, Strix laid claim to the entire facility. The buildings above ground are destroyed, and the lower levels were abandoned, leaving only the doc to lurk about. Like a dragon in an ancient castle. Luxury estate that lower lab, tbh. Already had air vents, lighting, water pipes built in... and it's spacious as all get out. Perfect to bide your time and wait out the end of the world.

Ignace knew Jamie as Stork, one of the many names he had prior to calling himself Lynx. Not many know James as James/Jamie. Only Luca and Ansel will refer to his birth name on occasion. The only ones old enough to remember the crazy lad before he started taking on new names every few years. The habit of name changing is something James started soon after he joined Ansel's pack, and Luca leaving to do his own thing.
