😈 - Three ways my muse shows mischief Raph isn't the most mischievous of the brothers, but he still gets himself in hot water sometimes. Three of the ways that he shows it is

1. Pranks - Raph will commit to the long game. His pranks are rarely obvious but he isn't mean about it 2. Hiding things - usually in plain sight. He will just move his brothers stuff around when he visits them, but never puts anything where it cannot be seen. 3. Teasing - Not in the way you think, not like name calling, but teasing his sexual partner. Getting them wound up and then backing off like he is all innocent.

👓 - Three ways my muse shows intelligence Raphael is no genius, but he isn't stupid. It is just when you grow up with a brother like Don, it puts intelligence in a different light so Raph often thinks he isn't actually smart. However, Raphael is incredibly intelligent and he shows it in a few ways.

Reading - Raphael reads a lot. He has books all over his personal space. Yes he has book shelves, but his books also tend to be scattered around. Left on surfaces while he is reading them, or if he forgets to put them back

Repairs - Raphael can repair a lot of his own stuff. Mostly mechanical, like his motorcycle or the motors of his big appliances. He still needs some help with the more technical stuff like his router and if his TV breaks. But as time goes on, he needs Don's help less as he has learned to repair things along side his smartest brother.

Helping - Raphael is always trying to help others. This is more of an emotional intelligence than being brainy. Raphael has high empathy so he goes out of his way to help others through their problems. He is a bit of a fixer, and sometimes doesn't realize that people just want to vent and don't always need him to fix the problem, but he is getting better at recognizing the difference.

💘 - Three ways my muse shows they have a crush Raphael gets crushes all the time. Small infatuations, brief sparks of interest. Sometimes those crushes to turn into something more, but not always. He tries his best to hide his emotions, but if you know what to look for you can tell if Raph has a crush on you by looking for a few things.

Little Gifts- When Raph has a crush on someone that he can physically be near he will give little gifts. Small things that he thinks or knows his crush might like. He listens, or does a little reconnaissance so he can give perfect small gifts. Nothing too big, he doesn't want to be obvious or anything.

Attention - When Raph has a crush on you, he pays attention. To everything you say and do. He has to learn everything he can. This means he is attentive in those early days and it can sometimes come off a little creepy if he doesn't dial back the behavior.

Touching - If Raph has a crush on you, he will find ways to touch you. "Accidentally" if he has to. Even if it is just a light bump of his arm, or him brushing against you. All of it is intentional, even if he plays it off as if it isn't. He just wants to be close to his crush.

• I already said this but it bears repeating anyway because physical affection is a very big one. Ava is secretly a huge cuddler, except it's not much of a secret because that part unlocks at a pretty low friendship level.

• Spending quality time! Ava will make it obvious that they want to be around people that they feel affection for, and the deeper those feelings go the longer they'll want to without getting distracted on their phone or otherwise restless.

• Being playful/goofing around. Context-dependent because Ava will engage in shitposting with complete strangers, but if they get a little bit more personal about it there's usually something more there.

• This is one of those things that can be a bit hard to suss out because Ava has a tendency to be flirtatious (and promiscuous) with people they don't have a romantic interest in; there's a ton of overlap in behaviors. One that might be more telling is that a crush will be a source of inspiration to Ava. If they're exercising their creativity and the person in question is either the subject or otherwise clearly inspired something they make, it can be a hint that their interest is growing.

• Some very specific forms of physical affection can also be a tell. Ava mentally links kissing to sex and neither are necessarily intimate to them. But resting their forehead against someone else's, or using their finger to trace patterns on skin - these are things they won't be inclined to do with someone they aren't developing feelings for.

• This is supposed to be about ways that they actually show things but this one is pretty hard to give answers to due to how Ava blurs platonic/romantic lines. Ava will start feeling jealousy with their crush as the target. This is something they might actually not express in an open way if they feel like it's likely to blow up in their face. In those cases it tends to resolve in a couple of ways -- either the jealousy will flip into anger and they'll find whatever method they can to let off some steam (this can happen without them mentioning anything to anyone), or they'll go out of their way to try to get their crush's attention. Odds of actually mentioning their jealousy are pretty low in most cases.

• Love for Ava inevitably takes an obsessive form. Constantly thinking about and being reminded of the object of their affection is typical. They're likely to bombard their loved ones with messages, things that reminded them of them, and be increasingly more likely to mention missing them when they're away as they grow more comfortable communicating openly.

• Ava is one to plan grand gestures that they think will get across how they feel better than they could express in words. Even with their inner circle, Ava can struggle with really talking about how they feel, and even if they've reached the point of being more open, feel like speaking about feelings is inadequate. A gift that they spent hours preparing, or something else that demonstrates that they've been thinking about someone actively will often give Ava a better sense of satisfaction that they've effectively shared how they really feel.

• They feel possessive! Sometimes they can be reluctant to be open about these feelings at first. It's not really out of a fear of being toxic (Ava believes that the people they are meant to be close to will accept them as they are with minimal censoring), but ties in more closely to a fear of vulnerability. They won't take a rejection of their possessiveness well and they know it, so they tend to not say anything until they already feel certain that it will be received well.

• Ava's quick to pick up on anything that involves moving their body. This really shows up in their love of dancing; they can watch someone else moving and very easily copy almost anything they observe. Even more complex movements don't take too long for them to learn.

• Ava has a great ear for music; they have perfect pitch and only need to hear a song once to be able to sing or play it with an instrument with a high degree of accuracy.

• I always mention this as a selective thing, but for someone with low empathy that has not found that sympathizing with other viewpoints comes naturally, Ava does have a pretty high degree of emotional intelligence. This is something they've had to work to learn, and in a lot of ways was only really something they figured out fairly recently. It took a shift in their way of thinking to start feeling motivated to pay closer attention to how others are feeling. This has been felt most in how Ava has learned to anticipate how people they have close relationships with might respond to their actions. As a result, their impulse control is better than it used to be -- though there are certainly still times that they know someone won't like something they're doing and decide to go ahead with it anyway.

💔 - Three ways my muse shows heartache

• If their heartache involves other people Ava can be really prone to lashing out, even (maybe even especially) if they are arguably at fault. It's one of the areas where their lack of emotional grace really shows through, and they can get locked in a 'hurt them before they hurt me (more)' mindset.

• At one point it would have been something they'd drown in substance abuse, but that doesn't work for them anymore. The best replacement they've found for dealing with negative feelings they don't have a better way of handling is just to stay so busy they can't think about it, usually with work.

• When everything else fails, Ava is a brooder. They'll find the most isolated spot they can to stew in their feelings. The narrative they tend to tell themself when they get trapped in a mood like this tends to be dramatic and polarizing -- spinning into thoughts that the entire world is against them, or that the only thing other people will ever do is disappoint you.

• Physical touch is a big one. Ava is a suuuupeeer physical person all around but one of the biggest tells that you like you is not being able to keep their hands to themself, consistently, over a long period of time. They might fake this sort of touchiness over a short period if they're trying to ingratiate themselves with someone but if it's actually constant, it's their way of showing affection.

• Paying attention. Ava is observant and notices things about people in general, but they'll do it more intentionally with people they like. They can tend to gather information without commenting on it for long stretches of time, but sooner or later they'll show interest or concern in a way that exposes how much time they're spending actually thinking about the object of their affection.

• Cooking for people. Ava likes cooking in general, but they won't offer to do so for people they don't care about at all.

💥 - Three ways my muse shows anger

• Possibly the most obvious: violence. Ava doesn't have any ethical compunctions about causing torture, harm, death, etc, so historically they've had no problems with lashing out physically towards anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in their path, whether or not they were at fault for raising their ire in the first place. Of late this method has lost a little of its shine; perhaps because violence forms a not-insignificant part of their 'work' and recreation, somewhere along the way they stopped finding it effective for emotional regulation (not that it likely ever was), or at least less appealing.

• Retreating into themself to fume. This has become increasingly common as Ava has had to begrudgingly admit to themself that their communication skills aren't quite where they should be (spending years actively shutting out anyone who might try to connect on more than the shallowest level will do that), so under some circumstances this might be the default for people they want to maintain some sort of a positive relationship with, if they don't trust that their first pass at communicating will go well.

• For people who manage to really piss them off, Ava has been known to (somewhat) keep their initial explosive reaction in check, only so they can plan a more effective way to humiliate the offender. An example would be the time they vandalized Veloz's arcade, fully knowing how much it would infuriate the virus.

Ren is usually fairly laid back, but it becomes even like. Moreso when they feel mischievous. They try to hide their tells because they are rather aware of them, but some still slip out.

(and 3); it's entirely in their eyes and their expression. Their eyes gleam, so they close them when they feel a bout of mischief coming on to hide it, which is in and of itself a tell. And their expression...given their canonical :3 face, it kind of ends up looking like a >w< face when they're trying to hide it. They are a very simple person lmao.

OH BOY IT'S CARMINE'S MOST COMMON EMOTION

Girl shakes in fury the more she gets angry. She has a hard time actually HIDING her anger, and it comes in fast and like a freight train.

Girl fucking S H R I E K S. Like this girl sounds like a Misdreavus but bass boosted when she really gets angry. It's an unfortunate thing she inherited from her father.

Honestly. If she gets angry bad enough that her entire body language just stops for a moment? RUN. That's usually the signal that she's going to throw hands unless stopped--

💗 - Three ways my muse shows love

Protection. Carmine will defend those she loves to the death, and she has more than once picked a physical fight because someone has said something awful about someone she cares about. Basically: Do not ever insult Kieran, Amarys, Drayton (only SHE'S allowed to do that!!), Crispin, Lacey, or Ren in front of her. You will live to regret it and probably get a black eye.

Thoughtfulness. Carmine is a very, very simple person who did not have much in life. If she sees you eying something you could not afford for yourself that she can, you will absolutely find it outside of your door one day with no note or anything, just. There.

...Honestly, she's less of a raging bitch with those she loves. Only slightly because she is still learning that maybe bullying ISN'T the only way to show affection and that for all she's been treated like shit, that isn't a way to treat others, she actually tries for anyone she gives a fuck about.

(except drayton. but she knows drayton can take it and if he's having THAT bad of a day, she'll back off. and/or try to find what's making him feel bad and go beat it up.)
