The turntable you have is actually pretty nice, it's just, not really for playing records. It's for vinyl DJs. Did the sales guy at GC say it was good for playing records?
i tend to prefer dj turntables, just because they’re durable, and i like direct drive/slow/reversing/etc. my issue is that this model has internal grounding, and it’s super flawed, so new records are a static mess (that’s my current theory, and other reviews make that hypothesis seem likely). like, every few seconds there’s loud POPS on brand new records. less on old records, which have way less static, so theory seems right... i’m gonna try replacing the cartridge/needle in a few days to see if that helps (heard it does), but idk. i’ve heard some people really enjoyed theirs, while others feel it was broken out of the box. if the cartridge swap doesn’t work, i may just cannibalize it to fix my old numark.

I probably wouldn't be making Synthwave music if it wasn't for the Hotline Miami soundtrack. That's where I got my first exposure to it.

Isn't it beautiful? threechainlinks made that gif. I owe it to him for my blog background and my phone background. He makes some absolutely wonderful gifs and I'd rec a follow.
I also learned recently that the absolutely gorgeous art in PC-98 Policenauts is thanks to an absolutely AMAZING artist by the name of Satoshi Yoshioka, who's done other stuff related to Kojima things like the art for Sdatcher and concept art for project Blackmore. I know this because he favved some random tweets of mine about Sdatcher and my lockscreen wallpaper (a screenshot from the Policenauts intro) and tweeted that he made that art and thanked me for liking it LOL
