The story of the triplet queens has finally come to an end in this book, and boy, was it an adventure. . The first three books in this series are completely dark. It felt a bit heavy because I wasn’t able to read any single flicker of hope. However, as I flipped through the last pages of this series, more revelations and clarifications helped us go to the light. . This book is a whole lot better than the two previous ones. A complete redemption (if I could say so for myself) compared to the last book I’ve read. . In this book, we can see the character development of each queen as they struggle with the after-effects of the Ascension Year. . Secrets are revealed and a rebellion is brewing on the island of Fennbirn. This book is so dark and gruesome, and yet I can’t seem to find the nerve to put it down especially when I came near the end. . It took me almost five days to finish this one probably because there is no gay romance within the pages of this book. . The story of the Triplet Queens from Fennbirn is continued in this book. The Queen to be Crowned is yet to be determined, and for that to happen, they need to find ways to kill one another until only one survives. .
