Happy Threshold Day: heres our notes
it really is iron man 2
Haven't been all the way back through the Malevolent tag today so apologies if people have said this already, but fun note about that puzzle book Faroe has with her at the end of Threshhold ep 1, the Torquemada Puzzle Book:
It did exist, was published in 1934, and contained, as Faroe noted, a large number of crosswords and acrostics and etc. That's not the main thing it's remembered for now, however.
The main thing it's remembered for is a very, very difficult puzzle in the form of a 100-page murder mystery. The challenge of the puzzle is to put all 100 pages of the story in the correct order; the solution has never been made public.
The title of the story?
Cain's Jawbone.
Donāt You... Forget About Me
(MUSIC) DONāT DONāT DONāT DONāT YOU
Alright thatās enough of that. Itās Saturday at 1:34am and I have not forgotten about you or this blog. Iāve been thinking and writing things and I want to give you guys a taste of what youāll get once we reach Threshold 1: Voting Rights Act!
Here are some things I am interested in writing about:
Gameful Guru Review: Archie Issues 1-3 by Mark Wade and Fiona Staples
Games That Get Life Right: Fire Emblem Awakening
Quest 5: (Gameful Relationship Building)
Quest 6: (Undecided, Requests Needed)
Table-top Mod Request (Send me your games, your huddled masses)
Itās up to you guys to tell me what you want to read about! I will write about some of these topics eventually, but I want to write good stuff! So let me know what youāre most interested in reading!
Until next time, suffer less and grow more,
Sincerely, Sam The Gameful Guru

Though I canāt read Korean, welcome to the fold, @tenaciousstudentwombatthings!Ā
To reach threshold 1, I still need 1 SuperBetter Success Story and 2 more Reblogs, on any post that resonates with any of you! :)
I have a feeling my next Quest is gonna do the trick. Mwahahaha...
Laptop Retrieved!
Alright, now I can get back to business.
I just posted Quest 3, so my goals for Week 1 in terms of content have been met. Iāve got 3 Quests and 6Ā āMiscā posts ahead of me this week, so Iām gonna have to be creative with my time, and my word counts.
The first of my miscellaneous posts this week will be a Gameful Guru review/recommendation of T.I.M.E. Stories, a cooperative Decksploration game that I recently played through the first mission of with a few of my friends.
Ā I will be writing about the merits of the game, not only from a gamerās perspective, but with a vocabulary for the adaptive and potentially meaningful nature of games and play in general. T.I.M.E. Stories is a socially and emotionally resonant mind-bender of a game, which builds remarkable atmosphere despite being primarily a board and card based game. I canāt wait to share more about it with you.
Because you havenāt reached Threshold 1 yet, Iām holding off on having you vote on the next three Quests Iāll be writing. Bear in mind, itās gonna be harder for me to write these Quests without at leastĀ one Success Story to work with. You have three Quests that you can now complete, and the broader skills of SuperBetter can be used in a variety of different contexts. All you have to do is read this blog a little, and live your life gamefully, and youāve got the right stuff.
Thatās all for now.Ā
Until next time, suffer less and grow more.
Sincerely, Sam, The Gameful Guru
My Computer Is Stranded On A Desert Island!
Just kidding, I left it at my friendās house because Iām a dingus.

Itās not the end of the world if we donāt make it by Midnight, but if you do, Iāve got a group reward in mind. So see if you can shake the friend tree and convince two more tumblr nerds to check this blog out :)
Hope youāre having a great weekend,
Sincerely, Sam, The Gameful Guru
