It had been a good reason for Saima to find Epona again. After having that moment with the mare and the foal, they couldn’t help but feel interested in learning more about her. They wondered if their visit would be welcomed but decided that they had made enough of a decent impression that it wouldn’t hurt to at least stop by.

“It took some time but it is lovely to see you again,“ they speak with a warmth in their tone as they greeted Epona.

“If I’m interrupting you, I would certainly take my leave - but I was just wondering if it was okay to visit with you for a little while. I also brought bread that I made.“ It was a gift that they liked to give to others and it seemed like Epona would be a great fit for one of those precious loaves that they put so much time and heart into.

    “Somewhere special huh Epona? You certainly have a way of getting my attention and quickly at that.“ Saima returns with a certain mirth to their tone. But they are nevertheless excited about what Epona is willing to share with them. They had said that they were willing to explore anywhere that she was willing to take them and the entity was all too certain to own up to that promise. So it was with that mind that, they anticipated finding out more about this location.

“Is this going to be the surprise that you had in mind for me?“

Saima smiles at the notion of the plants growing towards them. It had been something that they had seen happen a few times over the years. Perhaps it was true that the flora had a way of seeking them out wherever they went. To have a presence that comforted nature so was something that they couldn’t help but feel honored about.

“Hm. I always find it interesting to have this sort of light. I am.. so thankful that the plants grow towards me. For I have spent so much time among them. They have been my comfort towards so much of the darkness that I have seen, that I have carried even.“

There is a little bit of a sight, acknowledging the sheer weight that never seems to go away. Saima can come to terms with it - but it’s always a part of who they fundamentally are.

“But to still have that light.. it helps me feel grounded in myself. To know that I am more than what I have had to do from time to time. To know that maybe.. there is a good there that I try to live up to.“

   Things like this were what the forest was for. Keeping secrets, doing things outside the realm of modern ‘civilization’ and its often constraining rules. Things that were deemed illegal - while some of them were fair to be, a lot of them were not. And Saima had no qualms about moving outside the law whenever they could get away with it - nature being a great tool to leverage in the process.

Such was the case when they helped Cernunnos out with getting something out of the way.

“Yeah. I’m certainly willing to carry this with me. Don’t need such figures in the forest. Can you imagine them out here? They wouldn’t handle themselves well at all.“

    “I suppose that is certainly a way to describe that.. The feeling of the melody really reaching the ears and leaving a most pleasant impression. Although I can imagine some songs are a lot more intense in the impact that they leave on the ears. All a matter of genre and taste. “
