I know that building up morgenthorn in my head could make them disappointing in canon but I cannot stop.

I want Dru to hold unwarranted animosity towards this guy who looks just like the man who killed her parents. I want Ash to be obsessed with her. I want Dru to grow to respect him slowly. I want Ash to be cocky and just know that they’ll end up together. I want Dru to be oblivious to even the notion of being with him. I want Ash to not really understand human courting. I want Dru to fall hard. I want Ash to be caught off guard by vulnerability with her, especially when she starts actually reciprocating his feelings and it’s the first time someone not affected by his thrall has ever wanted him.
