Rachel's parents were downstairs, and she was about two seconds away from shoving a pair of scissors into her stomach. She hated the fact that she couldn't even stand to sit 20 minutes in the same room as them. But this wasn't her fault. This was them, pushing her and bitching like they always do. So instead of blowing up and causing a scene, Rachel said she needed to use the restroom and went upstairs. Little did they know, she wasn't coming back. Instead, she headed to her bedroom, straight for the window. She opened it and looked down. Crap. That was a long jump. But she had to look at the alternative: going back down to her parents. So she swung her leg over the window. And just as she did, she heard the door open. Shit. Busted. She turned to see Tyler standing at the door, and she chuckled nervously. "It's not what it -- okay. It's pretty much exactly what it looks like. But...you were down there, too! You saw how awful they are." She sighed, stepping back into her room. "How can...How can they treat their kid this way?"

"Well then —", she cleared her throat, curling her lips into a bright smile before she bowed her head slightly. "I am Min Dohee — underground rapper, and as you can see really short and really cute. It’s nice to meet you.. stranger."

Tyler had found himself at Rachel’s doorway, looking in on her as she looked at a brochure in her hands. As she looked up and spoke to him, his expression didn’t change - it remained passive and blank, but also not unkind. He reached down and picked up the paper she had thrown, walking over to her with it and handing it back to her. “Don’t disregard it so quickly,” he told her. Then he sat down next to her. “I thought the same thing, that my own parents didn’t believe that I had it in me to kick my own habit myself.” He placed a hand over hers, pursing his lips into a smile. “Just don’t disregard it so quickly. The choice is up to you, but at least think on it for a while.”

Rachel looked away from him quickly, not bothering to take the time to read his facial expression. There wouldn't be expression to convey. That's was one of the many ways in which they were different. Rachel wore her heart on her sleeve. People knew exactly what she was feeling, when she was feeling it. Even when she was trying to pretend she was upset, the girl couldn't help but have a tiny scowl present on her face. Tyler's ability to keep his face a clean slate was something Rachel envied. She hated that she was so easy to read sometimes. When he picked the pamphlet back up, she reluctantly took it back into her hands as she looked back down at it. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't considered getting this kind of help in the past. But she'd heard the horror stories. And she didn't want to become one. She looked back up at him, thankful to see a smile on his face. "What if they're right? What if...I'm not strong enough? Those facilities can be scary. They either turn you into a zombie, or you keep going back after failed attempts at sobriety." She sighed before she said the two words she dreaded the most: "I'm scared."

Rachel sat on her bed, with what looked like a brochure in her hands. The envelope it's came in sat next to her with the words Something to Consider. Love mom and dad written on the front. Her sobriety had always been a item of conflict between her and her parents. She knew they worried about her to some extent but sometimes she wondered if they were more concerned about the family's image. She saw a figure standing at the door who turned out to be Tyler upon looking up. A mirthless smile came to her lips as she flashed the pamphlet for a rehab facility his way. "They don’t think I’m strong enough to do this on my own." She shook her head, tossing the paper towards the trash. She missed. "They've never really had much faith in me."

“What’s your story?”

Hyukjae blinked at the stranger, his head tipping to the side a little in slight confusion. With pursed lips he thought for a moment about the question and he wondered why this guy wanted to know this about him. A quiet hum left him before he answered: "Hm... I don't really have a story if I'm honest. My childhood was kind of boring, nothing really exciting happened." He shrugged his shoulders a bit, nodding some at his own statement.
