--It is an unforgiving case, full of things that fuel nightmares. It left him at 4AM wide awake, the ever growing presences of coffee cups and cigarette ashes building up on the coffee table of the small flat he lived in, hysteria and frustration laced with a need to crack what was going on. The man with opal eyes would slink underneath the bath water, letting the soft caress of the warm liquid take hold as his hair sprawled about floating weightlessly while his mind whispered he must work harder, he must find the one set out to ruin his mind by these case that never ended.

It ignited the fire in his stomach causing him to get out of the bath and ready for the day, one where he thought perhaps he would bring the bastard to justice only to come home empty handed again. People started to call him crazy, he was becoming unwound from reality a glistening look of a predator in his eyes lashing out at those who told the man maybe a few days off the case would be best-- they could cram it, he would not dare stop.

So, Eren played the chase following foot prints that where invisible leading to no where while he prayed to some unknown being to give him a break, a clue! Just one mistake to unravel the most beautiful arrest he would have for the rest of his career. There where nights that leather boots echoed on cobblestone roads chasing down suspects, nights of interrogation where he slammed his fist in to the wall when it was the wrong person, nights spent slinging back liquor to quench the hysterics and nothing he always came up empty handed.

Some mornings he found his head splitting open, vanilla folders strewn about the floor as the light of day touched his bronze cheeks telling him to come and try once more, to play in to this decadent scene of pure evil. A repeating processes that felt as mundane as making coffee, it could drive a man to the breaking point but he assured everyone in his lazy crooked grin that no, his mind was still there and yet Eren questioned to himself was it truly in tact? in the quiet stillness of a pursuit he thought to himself why did he ever want to be one who took down evil? ah, yes-- because this world needed to be purged of their filth.

Everything was in need of a desperate purification so he would do the honors even if it drove him mad, the sacrifice was worth it at the end of the day but he had never seen such brutality as this. Victims that where barely recognizable and dead ends every where he turned his head leaving him engrossed in flames of his own fury, but he was never one to have a good temper so this could all be written off.

It is now about 2AM, the streets are near to empty and the bright eye man had made a break in this case, agile form stood within the confines of a room grinning like a wolf ready to sink their teeth in to fresh meat using all their might to tear out chunks of flesh. His palms laid flat on the table, oceanic eyes where rimmed in black from the lack of sleep with the way his appearance is, it wasn't difficult to label him as a mad man but he had finally ripped away the walls that lead him to a break putting everything together to nearly salivate at the knowledge this case might be coming to an end.

"Found you" he teased, of course he was playing with fire but Eren was not the brightest of men when it came to danger he seemed to thrust himself in to the flames rather then back away from them. "I can't fucking believe it was all underneath my nose, right in front of me" the playful tone was starting to curl in to something of malicious intent his lips now formed in a snarl as he eyed the other across from him, "You where the one who did all of this weren't you!? I cannot believe it but my question is, did you honestly expect to get away? I swore on my life I would bring who ever was doing these appaling crimes down! I cannot even begin to explain how sloppy you got towards the end" viciously, he chuckled examining the man in front of him in disdain .

"Sorry, but let's not make this anymore difficult then it is and we just get this case wrapped up. What do you say?"
