He loves animals, of course, but it’s the sky he finds really peaceful, especially at night. The stars are a source of wonder, one that he doesn’t have to look after, or protect. Perhaps, if wizards changed their views on needing to exterminate magical creatures, he’d be able to truly relax around them.
Along the same vein, he finds humans disagreeable. They destroy almost everything they touch, just because they don’t understand it. And Newt doesn’t understand them.

Yaya carefully approached the creature’s territory, smiling slightly as she remembered Newt’s words about being cautious around the bird, which was exactly what she was trying to do. She found the bird interesting, especially so after hearing it’s story and her interest had only grown the past few months.
Sitting down on the grund, she watched the majestic creature with a tilted head, appearing like a curious kitten. “Hi Frank. I brought treats.” She offered as she threw some towards the animal, making sure to keep distance. She more than anyone understood what it was like to be fearful of an other species.
