Because I like drama and chaos more than Loki does I will now be pushing the Sam Wilson x Thor agenda during the Sambucky divorce.
Cause think about it. You have Thor: single father, recovering after so much loss and grief but still wanting to be apart of battle and a group. Then you have Sam: recently divorced single dad who is trying to restart the Avengers and feeling hurt and lonely.
Thor would be taken aback finding out about Sam as Captain America but once he realizes Steve gave him the shield, he'd be over the moon. Thor's a touchy feely guy too and God forbid Sam's in uniform when they meet each other again. Sam would absolutely eat up the attention because it's Thor of course he'd feel some type of way if the God of Thunder was dishing out compliments about how he admires Sam's strength and leadership while having him wrapped up in one arm.
Everyone else in Sam's team would be happy to see Thor (Joaquin would be starstruck) and Thor would take every opportunity to stick with Sam because even if it's not the same as it was with his original team, there's some semblance of normalcy following Cap's orders and fighting alongside him.
Of course Thor showing back up on earth would not be a quiet affair and the moment the media catches pictures of Sam and Thor together you can hear a scream of rage and despair rip through New York City emanating from the Tower.
