Paring: Thundercloudshipping (Ash X Amy) (DP to be specific)

It was the middle of the night and Amy found herself unable to sleep once again. She tossed and turned for a while before resulting to just staring at the ceiling. It was then in the middle of her overthinking that she heard a small groan come from the bunk below her, followed by a hushed, "Amy?"
Crap, she woke someone up.
Amy peered her head down off the side of her bed to see Ash, looking back up at her with a tired, but concerned expression. "How come you're awake?" He pondered quietly, still rubbing a bit of sleep from one of his eyes.
"I never slept." Amy sighed. "Ive never been good at falling asleep quickly, never been good at staying asleep either."
After a short silence, Ash responded. "Well i think i can help."
"How so?"
"Come down here, and bring your pillow too." Ash said while shuffling himself on the bed to where there was enough room for Amy to sleep beside him.
Amy climbed down from her bunk, pillow in hand, only for Ash to snatch said pillow and place it next to his, poorly attempting to make a little nook with the two of them.
Once he was satisfied with the result, he gently took Amys hand and led her into the bed, draping the covers over her once she got somewhat comfortable.
Amy was taken aback by all of this, out of all people to do this sort of thing, Ash was the one she expected the least.
"This may sound stupid but.." Amy let out a soft yawn before continuing. "..Why are you doing this?"
"W-well.. for one thing i want to help. And isnt this something that couples do? They share a bed, right?" Ashs cheeks began to turn a rosy pink as he tried to feign confidence. He was still new to this whole 'romance' thing.
"Besides, you seem to fall asleep pretty easily when we nap together. So me being here clearly helps." He gave a soft smile towards Amy, who finally began to doze off.
"Yeah, youre right". Amy drowsed before leaning up against Ash, laying her head on his shoulder before finally getting the sleep she craved.
Ash meanwhile took a little bit longer to fall asleep, taking the time to fully appreciate Amy being right beside him. He planted a soft kiss on Amys forehead, and whispered a faint "I love you" before falling asleep too, hoping this sort of thing would become more common.
