The sky outside was no cheerier than his mood as Chrom trudged through the wind and rain. Still, this was better than staying in his room and stewing in silence. The last letter from Lissa was punctuated by its usual cheerfulness but even his younger sister could not hide her worry when she tells of how Emmeryn was struggling to negotiate with the parliament. The old bastards were trying to abolish the fair trade agreement that their family has upheld for generations. Years of hard work could be put to waste, not to mention all those struggling farmers who relied on the system so they can sell their wares in competitive prices...
“Huh?”
Chrom had no idea why his feet led him to the bar. He wasn’t an alcoholic, only taking the drink during special occasions. And even then, he couldn’t hold his liquor quite well (as attested by his loyal friend Frederick).
But maybe one drink won’t be too bad.
“Anything you can suggest for a first-time visitor?”
