4. Favorite character

If you put all my #1′s from each of the Fire Emblem timelines against each other, hmm...on this particular day that you’re asking me, I think I’ll have to go with Prince Hardin from the Archaneia timeline. I love my more traditional heroes, but I think Hardin is one of the best tragic characters in the franchise, if only for his lack of agency. Choosing to fall from grace is one thing. Someone shoving you down that abyss is quite another.

5. Least Favourite character

For villains, Lekain, who, in addition to all of his contemptible, ludicrously over the top evil behaviour, is alarmingly unsatisfying to finally put down, outside of sending Pelleas and/or Naesala at him. For playable characters, Shinon, who all I can say in defense for is “It’s pretty unique and bold for IntSys to provide a hateful, racist dick who actively avoids character development and put him on the side of the heroes.”

7. Favorite class

At this point, I can say the Soldier line, given my love of the lance and other polearms as medieval weapons, and their blend of defense and speed. And also Paladins, because, again, I love the aesthetic of the romantic, bucket helmeted knight on horseback.

8. Least Favourite Class

Myrmidon (outside of Shadows of Valentia). Outside of Tellius, they always felt overrated and over hyped, and I don’t really enjoy their style of low attack, high crit, ludicrous speed, since I’ve always felt the sting of the first more than the boon of the latter two.
