from  the  blade  of  her  sword,  blood  dripped  –  blue  and  viscous  –  to  stain  the  battlefield.  that  day  had  sought  fit  to  deliver  her  to  glorious  battle,  her  own  hunger  for  violence  well  sated  on  the  encroaching  hoard.  the  creatures,  frenzied  in  their  desire  to  overtake  the  small  band  of  warriors  that  stood  before  them,  seemed  to  have  no  fear  of  death;  leaping  into  the  fray  despite  the  bodies  of  their  fallen  brethren  littering  the  field.

sword  arcing  through  the  air  to  splay  open  another  of  the  creatures,  enyo  let  out  a  barking  laugh  at  her  companions  words.  no,  he  was  quite  right.  these  creatures  were  ruled  only  by  their  desire  to  tear  them  apart,  piece  by  piece.  from  her  perspective,  the  end  would  only  come  once  one  side  was  declared  victorious,  the  other  dead  at  their  feet.  ❛  if  only  there  had  been  someone  to  dissuade  you  engaging  an  unknown  species.  ❜  admittedly  the  asgardian  royal  would  have  had  no  idea  of  the  swarm  that  lay  waiting,  hidden  in  unseen  mines  of  the  mountains,  but  the  point  still  stood  that  she  had  warned  him  not  to  take  up  arms  before  they  had  a  chance  to  understand  this  new  foe. 

with  seemingly  no  end  in  sight,  even  enyo  was  forced  to  acknowledge  her  own  growing  fatigue,  as  well  as  the  numerous  abrasions  she  had  received  from  deadly  talons.  ichor  singing  to  return  to  the  chaos  and  unleash  her  darker  impulses,  she  shot  a  grin  at  her  ally.  the  expression  made  ferocious  by  bared  teeth  and  a  look  of  wild  determination  in  her  eye.  ❛  shall  we  end  this ?  victory  or  valhalla ?  ❜  if  there  truly  was  an  after  for  those  such  as  her,  enyo  would  not  mind  an  eternity  in  the  halls  asgardians  spoke  of.

Least, it’s her means of convincing him not to take her back to asgard & put her into the relics room. She could just as easily make another rift and come back to midgard as many times as she wanted; asgard was advanced in it’s own way, but not in any means of finding a way to keep her from leaving whenever she desired to. 

     “I mean, it was harder to do as a cube, but it’s much easier now honestly. . .and I’m not really comfortable there - I don’t think any being would.”
