Vaughn looked up from his desk, dark circles forming under his eyes
from the lack of sleep the past few days. These early starts and late
night finished at work were catching up to him. Having to go through
pay roll that would normally take an hour to two was now taking over
12 hours ever since they’d laid off a number of employees in his field
(or more like, they’d been sent on a one way ticket vacation into space).
He couldn’t wait for the day he got that promotion, for the day he could
finally get out of here and heck, maybe even run this place. he could only dream.
A tired smile fell on his face as he saw his brother standing on the opposite
side of the room. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d eaten a decent meal,
the last one would probably be that drake-fruit fat free yoghurt he’d had for
lunch but that was around 6 hours ago.
“I need to finished this pay roll first, Just give me another 30 minutes, okay?”
If there was one thing that got Vincent going it was when people he
cares about don’t or forget to eat. So when he saw the state of his
brother he couldn’t help the immediate reaction of telling them to ea-
t. And he wasn’t going to take 'NO’ for an answer. At least not now.
Leaning off from the frame, he stepped a bit further into his work spa-
ce, giving him a look with a raised brow.
“No, bro, we’re gonna get some food in ya’ now before that pay roll.
Work can wait, your stomach can’t. And if you’re not gonna come wi-
th me I’m going to get you something.”
