Clyde Caldwell cover art for the D&D boxed campaign supplement Dawn of the Emperors: Thyatis and Alphatia by Aaron Allston, TSR, 1989, used on the box and the DM Sourcebook. This was considered a companion set to the 14 Gazetteer books, and included 2 separate books for Thyatis, an empire of warriors, and Alphatia, ruled by magic-users. The entire Gazetteer series described specific regions of the Known World of D&D, renamed Mystara for publications during the AD&D 2e era.
