Do you think teen might have and be influenced by the darkhold? I didn't watch the Doctor strange movies so have no clue where it ended up.

But teen did have black fingers earlier in the season. Agatha would absolutely have picked up on that, which might explain a lot of her behaviour towards him.

Was she keeping him close because she wants the power back?

I also suspect that Teen does have a Darkhold with him or even, developing a Darkhold.

Also, I think Agatha's the type of person who wants her enemies (who can't kill her) close.

Agatha keeps tabs on other witches at all times! It kind of tracks with her whole knowledge is power thing. If it makes sense?

It might end up bad for Agatha but to quote a distinguished detective, it compels Agatha.

nexusmods.com/skyrim is the best place for mods. download mod organizer to keep everything managed and make sure to check for any incompatibilities between mods & also load order. 

LOOT (load order optimizer tool)- works seamlessly with mod organizer and will help you sort your mods. some mods won’t sort properly with this but about 95% do. typical rule i follow is that if a mod isn’t sorted by loot and doesn’t have any order notes in the mod page, i’ll sort it as close to the bottom as possible, meaning it’ll load close to last in order and not be overwritten by anything else. 

my recs (most will be immersion): 

Every single mod on this list requires Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, SKSE, and SKYUI to function properly. 

Frostfall: realism/immersion survival mod. impossible to describe shortly, but makes the weather and your armor/clothing actually matter. script heavy. iNeeds/Realistic Needs and Diseases: these are two separate mods that accomplish the same function--making your character require food, water, and sleep. iNeeds is more user friendly and less script heavy so i rec that one more. RND is a bit outdated but has more patches for inter-mod compatibility. Hunterborn: adds realistic hunting, skinning, etc into the game. also can increase/decrease the value of food and animal skins for an immersive experience. script heavy. Requiem: this is a complete overhaul of the skyrim gameplay experience and i do mean COMPLETE. changes everything from leveled lists, leveling itself, skill points, combat difficulty, etc. will make your game infinitely more difficult but there are settings to make it easier. i suggest using it with an alternate start mod as requiem slows progression quite a bit (you’re not going to be able to clear out a nest of vampires at level 5, essentially)Locational Damage: this can be a bit wonky based on scripts but basically this makes where you hit enemies (and where they hit you) actually matter. works really well with requiem to make things a bit easier if you turn instakill headshots on--means your sniping archery is going to take you a lot farther than it normally would. Expanded Towns and Cities: exactly what it says. take note it does have compatibility issues with any other mod that edits cities/towns. Climates of Tamriel V: weather/lighting mod for realism. Real Shelter: can be a bit of pain to set up but works with frostfall and CoT for shelter from weather. Campfire: now required by frostfall, allows you to make campsites, cook etc.

How I feel about this character

I really love Emily Prentiss! She's my favorite character on Criminal Minds even through my first watch of CM.

Honestly, I didn't expect to like Criminal Minds as much as I do because I'm not usually into shows that has a lot of well... gory deaths. But CM managed to walk the line and a large part of that is the main characters and the character dynamic!

Emily was one of the people that really caught my attention, I loved Elle in the first season and was so sad to see her go but then Emily entered the picture and she has such a different dynamic. And Paget Brewster is so charismatic.

It took me years to realize that she's Kathy on Friends.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

I think Emily has chemistry with everyone! (Except, funnily enough with her last boyfriend in season 15).

So, of course, I ship Emily with JJ and with Morgan.

I can see the Hotch thing but it didn't really click for me but also I can definitely see Tara/Emily too. They have similar backgrounds and instant understanding of each other.

Briefly, there was this frisson with Luke Alvez, but I think it fizzled because yeah she is his boss and rightly so Luke's been smitten with Penelope ever since.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Honestly? I think it's David Rossi. Rewatching things, I like the slow build of their friendship and he is not quite a father figure to Emily. But enough of an authority something figure that when Rossi says stupid things like 'I forbid you', it triggers Emily's rebellious hindbrain.

Tara also occupies this place, I think it's partly due to them sharing a similar background and she wasn't there the first time for the Doyle stuff so Emily can feel okay bouncing off ideas with her. She wasn't a teammate from before so she can also properly establish that she's the boss. Not that her friends don't accept her team lead but sometimes I think Emily just wants a clean slate.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Unpopular even to myself! But I think now, after everything she's been through, what her friends have been through, Emily needed that time away from the BAU.

If she stayed in immediately after Ian Doyle thing and kept seeing the same thing, she would have burned out. Emily had to find her footing outside of the BAU.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Oh. So many things!

I wish they recast the actress for Elizabeth Prentiss, I know the OG actress retired doesn't mean we shouldn't at least see Emily interact with her mother again. Emily's in Washington DC, don't tell me her mother wouldn't visit one time and make Emily's life a nightmare by requiring her to attend some state dinner with her, even if Emily is in her 50s she still reverts back to Classic Emily.

I wish that the show would acknowledge Emily actually would have more political connections because *waves hand* Ambassador Prentiss. But also, she would have built her own. Emily was head of London's Interpol branch! Or at least, I think the counterterrorism part of Interpol... Clyde's job was really hazy and the show never really clarified what Emily did.

Still, that's big, IMO.

I wish the show delved more into the fact that Hotch knew Emily while she was just getting over her rebellious teen phase. He must have some amusing stories about Emily that I wish he shared with the team.

I wish the show would lean into some spy thriller episodes now that Criminal Minds is now on streaming. Counter-terrorism still deals with Human behavior after all.

There was that one Vampire episode with Gavin Rossdale as a guest star and the show didn't delve into the Goth subculture even though they lampshaded Emily's past. Like, she's a decades out of that subculture but she's still a goth at heart (look at all her clothes), she could at least share some insight.

I wish the show didn't forget that Emily is actually better than Reid at both chess and poker.

Criminal Minds writers admit that they don't really plan things ahead of time but there are some moments I can point to now in hindsight that works to foreshadow Emily being both a great spy/undercover agent and team leader.

For Trek Talks:

@thymejot: What do you think a Janeway and Sisko crossover episode would look like? Would it be before Voyager and the Dominion war or during/after? Though the idea of time travel shenanigans could be fun.

Ooh. I think that would be hardcore. I think they're the most hardcore Starfleet officers of their generation. They're both cut from the same cloth.

I think this might happen during the Dominion War-- which is dramatically a tantalizing prospect for me but more likely this happens post-Dominion War after Sisko returns from wherever he is.

Unfortunately, for Janeway and her luck what kicks this off is time travel.

I feel like Time looked at Janeway and said became aware she was due to be bothered. And because the Bajoran Prophets/Wormhole aliens operate out of time, tosses Janeway directly into their path.

And its the same time the Prophets has a task for Sisko and he's bewildered to find Captain Janeway in the same place/time he is.

But he corrects himself and realizes Janeway is now Vice-Admiral Janeway.

Anyway, whoever they are up against ends up crossing paths with Sisko and Janeway.

Picard is virtually a walk in the park next to these two.

(They're possibly both thrown into the 32nd Century, much to the chagrin of Admiral Vance. For once, he would love it if time-displaced people would stop falling into his lap. And then it turns out Vance is a descendant of Janeway-- and it makes sense why time-displaced people kept falling into his purview).

TLDR both Janeway and Sisko fix whatever issue and as reward, they're returned to their time. Including Sisko, years earlier than when Janeway is, he pops up back again wherever Vice Admiral Janeway is.

It turned out that he'd been in Bajor with his family the whole time but didn't want to interfere with the timeline. Sisko and Janeway become very good friends!

Hey there, I am loving all the buffy content. It's giving me all of the nostalgia feels. Do you have a link to the Doom comics alt time lines? I have googled it a bunch but can't find it. I may burst into flames if I can't get a hold of them, they look too good. If you have already posted links and I'm being stupid then apologies.

I think I’d start off with travel to an alien planet, something relaxing that requires NO running, and I’d really be into watching the Cosmic Fireworks!

I don’t think going to the past would be a priority so jetting off to the far future would be a lot more interesting; I want to see space colonies, and/or space ships!

And, while I’m in the TARDIS, I want to explore the TARDIS too! I want to see all the corridors, the swimming pool, the library and all the other stuff we aren’t able to see because of budget.

What dark Doctor story would you want exploring?" for @thymejot

The first time I watched Waters of Mars I was so disappointed at how quick Ten’s moment of darkness was, I thought Family of Blood had a longer moment for Dark!Doctor. I thought WoM’s dark moment was under cooked.

Moffat also wanted to explore the Doctor’s dark side but in a different way than RTD did and season 5 — Moffat’s best Eleventh Doctor season IMO delved in how other beings see the Doctor: “There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior. A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.

I thought this was the most fascinating and darkest view of the Doctor we’ve ever had because in a lot of ways that is the case. RTD and Moffat were really interested in the consequences of the Doctor sauntering in a world, ‘fixing’ things and unknowingly making things worse.

The Consequences of Satellite Five is the start of RTD’s exploration of this, and Moffat took that and ran.

As fans,we thought we would get Dark Doctor in Twelve unfortunately, the writers hadn’t calibrated writing for Peter Capaldi and what could be conveyed as a careless and alien disregard for humans came off as mean and cruel. Again, as conversation, I really love how series Nine was in conversation with series four (and the Year of Specials), and how the loose trilogy of Face the Raven, Heaven Sent, and Hell Bent addressed the Donna issue and the Doctor going too far.

It was dark but I thought it didn’t play out as dark (probably at this point I was as pissed off with the Time Lord High Council as the Doctor was).

Peter Capaldi can certainly play the Doctor intense but I also see him as one who is so full of emotion, he’s a live wire trying desperately not to seem like he is.

Strangely, I don’t know why, and I know some people don’t see it but there’s a quality about Jodie Whittaker’s acting. In the quick blink and you’ll miss it moments, in the grins and the long look of a side-eye that makes me feel she can play a Darker Doctor. Something about Thirteen being very aware of their capacity for being dangerous while looking like someone so friendly calls for a story that explores her darker side.

I don’t have a specific story in mind but something that exploresthat aspect of Thirteen she’s so desperately trying to down play and not show the Fam is so fascinating to me. In series 12 this is what I really, really want the writers to go deep on.

Castle in the air is the next written book but really I don't think it matters as much which you read next. Howl and Sophie are secondary characters in Castle in the air, which is still a really good book. But if yo want to be all proper then Castle is technically the sequel.

Thanks for explaining! I wondered where the cat imagery for Sophie came from in House of Many Ways!
