Different Stages of Postpartum Thyroiditis
Postpartum Thyroiditis is a rare condition in which the thyroid gland enlarges in size after giving birth. The antibodies begin attacking the gland's cells in a manner reminiscent of an autoimmune disease. Although the causes are still unclear, the majority of women will only experience this temporarily.
It is divided in two phases -
➡️ First phase (hyperthyroid) - Women who experience a severe hormonal imbalance will experience an overactive thyroid gland. You might experience symptoms like
✔️ Weakness ✔️ Anxiety ✔️ Hair fall ✔️ Increased heartbeat ✔️ Weight loss

Itchy eyes, half asleep
Keep rubbing them and now they’re red and sore. I want to sleep but I can’t because I can feel a headache coming on. I feel like crap today.
🦋had a good day today. I’m not gonna sleep whilst midnight. I’m my own worst enemy in a way because I’ve always been a heavy sleeper. I think the longest I have slept was 14-16 hours if you don’t count when I’ve woken up for toilet breaks. I wanted to stop doing this so I’d stay up later but then I’d wake up early shattered. So I would get up later in the day. There is no balance. It’s hard. I hate waking up for work early but I have to because it’s my job. I’d rather lie in. I love lie ins but they don’t love me. I get sore hips because I’ve slept too long etc...so tomorrow I plan to wake up about 8-9am, rough average time a normal person should sleep and see how I feel in the morning. I used to work night shifts and they played all kinds of hell with my sleep pattern. I remember my previous manager suggesting I take my thyroxine at night, which was an alright idea but when would I take them on a day off? I had no quality of life as all I wanted to do was sleep and that caused issues with my partner. I started a new job on days I’m 2017 and even though it was two 12 hour days on and two off, I had a better balance of sleep and R and R to do other things. I’m currently still doing that job! #congenitalhypothyroidsm #hypothyroidism #thyroiddisease #thyroidwarriors https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx-zTb3g_lx/?igshid=1d3vq7ae52lgm
