With Easter over, the next town event is just around the corner! The Hermosa Arts Festival is a grand event celebrated annually here in Hermosa. From showcasing local new and old talent to raising money for the Hermosa Fine Arts Museum, every year the festival is a spectacular treat. You don’t have to be a pro to submit your work, you just have to have passion! Come and place your bids or take a look around the town vendors. Whatever you do, you’ll be supporting local businesses and celebrating art, what better way to kick off the nice weather?

Welcome everyone to our first post hiatus event! The purpose of this event is to bridge the plot drop together and to start up interactions that you might not have heard of before! Any roles your character would like to have for the festival is up to you guys!
In game, the festival will last a week. So go on and have fun! Make sure you’re plotting with people!
It’s been a quiet day in Hermosa, nothing has seemed out of the ordinary. But of course, if you believe that, you must be new. Maurice’s disappearance also was discovered on a quiet day, as you all know.
The residents of Hermosa were enjoying their morning. Some were getting ready to go to work, others were just getting home. Most were still asleep. But Kryptos and Konos were wide awake when the impossible happened.
The air filled with the sweet tinge of electricity when the scratchy broadcast began:
❝Kryptos, are you seeing what I’m seeing?❞
❝Did the Creator pull a prank on us this morning?❞
❝As if he was that funny. No, Kryptos. Look at the Zenith. Who are they?❞
❝f I was stupid I’d say they were just some kids messing around.❞
❝There’s still a debate on that.❞
❝Anyways. What does this mean, Konos? We have new residents? Intruders? No one just emerges from the Zenith. That’d be silly.❞
❝Silly indeed, but it seems like we’re in for a ride. Hope they like diners and drama.❞
OUT OF CHARACTER:
Welcome back, residents of Hermosa! As we return from our hiatus, we’re excited to announce so have Kida, Helga, Audrey, and Milo (Atlantis)! What does this mean for Hermosa, and how will this fit with what the citizens have been told before? Surely everyone knows you could leave and come as you please, you just choose not to.
Right?
Well, this plot drop will be the catalyst to start asking these questions and getting into some trouble. Feel free to start roleplaying now! How will your character react? Will they be surprised, or will they be worried about what’s going on in their own life? Keep an eye for any clues, this plot drop may be influencing the next event. We truly hope the citizens of Atlantis enjoy their stay, it’s a lovely day in Hermosa after all.
“Now, dear listeners, we’ve just gotten word of a… development in this year’s Summer Festival. It seems this year the city of Hermosa will dedicate the entire carnival to our poor missing Maurice.”
“Now, Konos, you know Maurice is not entirely missing - perhaps he has just been found.”
“Just as cryptic as always. Back to the point, it seems that the city will donate a portion of the carnival’s profits to the efforts in finding Maurice. How sweet, it’s almost as if the town’s found someone to rally behind in our little Belle.”
“Don’t you wish we could ride the roller coaster with the rest of them. Feel the air on our skin, the humidity in the nighttime atmosphere?”
“Kryptos, that sounds awful. But it reminds me, it’s time to report the weather.”
This year, we are proud to announce Hermosa will be dedicating the summer festival to Maurice, and the efforts to find our lost citizen. Don’t let that stop everyone from having fun! We will be featuring local bands and artists for live music, as well as a carnival. Do you dare to conquer the Hurricane Twister this year? Or are carnival games more your style? Whatever it is, we have something for everyone! From the freshest foods from local food trucks to a petting zoo for the little ones, there’s sure to be something fun for the whole family. Admission for adults will be $5 and $2 for kids 12 and under.
Remember, we are throwing the festival for fun. Try to have some.
The fun and games begin, starting from June 15th. Live music goes on stage, children play on the rides, it’s a good distraction from the tragedy that is Maurice.
In this event, the locations are going to be very important for the overall plot. We have several we’ve brainstormed already and if you guys come up with more make sure you let us know!
THE FERRIS WHEEL, THE HALL OF MIRRORS, FOOD TRUCK ALLEY and THE HURRICANE TWISTER will be four of the locations that will be vital during one of our plot drops!
