Outside of my Window
I realize that the day my mother found out I wasn’t in my bed many moons ago, that she was terrified. All the shit going on in the world and her 15 year old daughter has all her stuffed animals and pillows disguised as her sleeping body. Only to pull back the covers and see she isn’t there. That’s something you only want to see in the movies. It’s predictable, you know the child is missing and you have an idea of where they could be. When you don’t have a clue , your heart races and your mind is all over. You cut on all the lights, you remove all things that could conceal something. This is the worst game of hide and seek. To know that they aren’t hiding but you can’t see or find them. WHERE ARE YOU?! screaming with your eyes wide.
