Discussing and rating characters and their different actors in The Lost Tomb franchise

Little disclaimer: This is all personal preference and I want everyone to know that I like pretty much all the versions of every character, but I feel more appreciative of book accurate characters. Being accurate isn't everything, but I appreciate the effort and it usually gives the character more depth. I would love to hear who everyone's favorite version of the character is.

Part 1: Wu Xie

The Lost Tomb 2015 played by Li Yifeng, I rank him a 5/10 purely because I know what he can be. This version is way brattier and cares less about others than I'm used to, but from what I read of the book, not necessarily inaccurate. He was cute anyway.

2. The Lost Tomb 2 2019 played by Hou Minghao, I rank this Wu Xie a 6/10 because I liked him better than the first characterization, but he was still lacking sometimes. It's harder for me to put my finger on why for this one, but I think he was overshadowed a lot by other characters. He was still super cute, pretty sweet and playful.

3. Ultimate Note 2020 played by Joseph Zeng, I rank this Wu Xie 10/10 because he might not have been very much like the book version, but his cuteness knows no bounds. He balanced the funny moments and the emotional moments well and he was a great punching bag. He shined in his own show and over the whole series he stands out.

4. Reunion: The Sound of Providence 2020 played by Zhu Yilong, I rank this Wu Xie 10/10 because he was a phenomenal look at an older Wu Xie who is tired, but still fun and more knowledgeable in the field.

Lost Tomb 2.5 2021 played by Bai Shu, I rank this Wu Xie 2/10. I'm so sorry, this characterization of Wu Xie from the very beginning is very bratty and abrasive, which I didn't think fit the character.

Conjuring curse 2023 played by Jing Yan Jun, I rank this Wu Xie 6/10. Super cute Wu Xie. I think mainly what takes away is the movie itself is a little slow and he just has less time to shine.

Adventure Behind the Bronze Door 2024 played by Edward Zhang, I rate this Wu Xie 7/10. I don't get a lot of the hate for this Wu Xie. He didn't stick out a lot, but I enjoyed his silliness and emotion in equal parts.

Time Raiders 2025 played by Xu Zhenxuan, I rate this Wu Xie a 9/10. I love this actor and he killed the cuteness, fear, and confusion of Wu Xie. I want to see more of him.

I have not seen Sand Sea or the Time Raiders movie, so I can't judge those Wu Xie's.
