C.E.C. Death?

 Sooo I was messing around on Google and decided to look to see if there were any Chuck E. Cheese deaths, accidents or otherwise (Blame FNAF for this morbid, unrelenting curiosity). As I sifted through the urban legends of kids dying in ball pits and such, I found this article: http://www.benningtonvalepress.com/2011/02/childs-death-in-chuck-e-cheeses-ticket.html

The first thing I thought was 'Oh...my god... Did the child get hurt with the electrical equipment or did they get caught somehow in the tube or one of the air jets?!' but as I read it, I began to get skeptical when it talked about the tickets slicing the child to death.

… Really?...

I have done my research and nothing else pops up on this story. All that pops up are the urban legends and parent leaving their kids in the restaurant. It seemed to be the only story so I turned on the site itself for answers. I've found a Disclaimer for the website here. http://www.benningtonvalepress.com/p/company.html

I'm relieved that it never happened. That would be horrific since it would be in plain sight of everyone in the restaurant with the ticket blaster having clear walls. Yeesh...

It was your half birthday. You were the star of the Birthday Show. You wore an inflatable crown and solid medal medallion. You rolled with Chuck E, smiled for a few photos, climbed, jumped, owned the letter B on the ABC Bopper.

And then: The Ticket Blaster Experience. Safety goggles are funny - you are funny - until lights flicker. The clear plastic door closes. Excitement moves to trepidation; trepidation to fear; fear to real tears; real tears to absolute, unadulterated terror. It's all fun and games until tickets begin swirling tornadic and haunted memories of amusement park horror movies you've never seen impose on your dreams close-range like confetti from a fire hose. You endure for 7 seconds until they pull you out of there, no longer thinking it's cute or funny or entertaining or worth the bragging rights that would surely come were you to sport new yellow shades to school the next day, 180 tickets at the prize counter. Or a plastic slinky that will get irreparably entangled with itself on the car ride home, an astonishing 150 tickets at the prize counter. Something that's way better that you will insist on securing to the foot of your bed to watch over you while you sleep: a 3 foot tall Chuck E. Airwalker balloon that you will get for just being the Birthday Star, for just being there, for just being you.
