I need to know how the Sarley Hawyers came to be.

The best reason I came up with was that they were made and placed on each level so Harley can broadcast himself anywhere at a moment's notice to be hands-on with an experiment, but this does come with the caveat that Leith wouldn't be allowed anywhere near where one is considering Harley would most likely try to kill him. Leith did make it sound more like Harley was supposed to be confined to a monitor in the tape where Harley woke up as an experiment rather than have the ability to move around and offer physical help, unless he changed his mind when he realized that Harley worked better showing rather than telling.

If this were true, we should have ran into a couple of them throughout Chapter 4, either inactive or wandering about (The Doctor being out for his walkies). Honestly surprised that wasn't the case since he could have planted them in places he knew the player would have been just to terrorize them further, like around his other organs. From there, the player could either electrocute them or pull a wire/node from the body that would make it inoperable to defeat them.

I don't think Harley made them himself since his specialty seems to be more biology and organic materials than anything pertaining to robotics and engineering.

Also, did Harley choose the eye for his screen or was that White? Speaking of the eye, how does he see? Is it a camera built into the monitor or what? I'm the type that would want to take him apart to see how he worked XD

While I do want a Steam Controller but opted to wait until I'm in a better financial position to get one, I implore those waiting NOT TO BUY FROM SCALPERS. Put them out of business for their shitty actions.

The Steam Controller will be back in the store. It is not limited edition. There isn't a legit scarcity. They're creating an artificial one that will be remedied sooner rather than later. A lot more will have to be made due to the Steam Machine being launched when it can. This is not a case where scalpers are the only way you can get this hardware. More will come as soon as Valve can. Don't give into FOMO. Just be patient. The controller is a WANT, not a NEED.

Valve seriously fucked up releasing the controllers without limits to keep this from happening. Now that they've acknowledged the situation, I hope they flood the market with the controllers as an apology and leave the scalpers holding the bag at the end of the day.

Oh, and apparently there's a way to report eBay scalpers since scalping is against the TOS? Haven't looked into that but if you do, according to a youtube comment I saw, you can put something like "unfair pricing by wiping out store stock" or something like that.

The Steam Controller is $99. Not $150. Not $200. Not $400 or $600. It's $99 MSRP and they will be back at that price when more are made. There's no legitimate excuse for scalping this controller, nor is there a legitimate excuse to buy from scalpers. I tend to treat those who buy from scalpers who create fake scarcity with the same ire since all they are doing is encouraging this behavior. You're no better than the scalper if you're paying those prices.

The Thalmor's Shadow Recast Announcement

OK! It's taken a couple of months, but I've decided I'm ready to move forward.

Pat Mahoney did an incredible job as the original voice for Taliesin and there will be some large shoes to fill. His original work will remain up on the Nexus.

This next project will be separate work with a new cast and different writing. I still have my original scripts so I'm able to work with Taliesin the way I intended before the VA stepped in as Co-Writer. So this version of Taliesin will different. Still the same in a few areas and still very snarky.

That being said. I'm looking for new VAs to be part of this project. If you know anyone who would be a good fit or would like to audition for a part, I have a C.C page up for all till the end of April.

I was watching a video that spliced all of Ghibli's movies together and I felt so much emotion seeing the raw skill and empathy in those scenes.

Then I remembered the idiot that said something along the lines of "no one is a fan of Ghibli because of the artwork or the process" while trying to promote AI crap -_- I swear, AI crap even ruins nice moments by trying to tie themselves to something when it clearly doesn't belong. It stains anything it touches like a kid covered in what you hope is chocolate.

But it's like... nothing made from AI has ever made me emotional or think as deeply as human created things have. Ghibli is the perfect example of that. You get to see and feel what was being thought with each scene, what was in the artist's head and what they wanted to convey with the care they put into each frame. You can sometimes get really into someone's head with the stuff they create and really feel the years they put into their craft.

Some may try to brush this off as "it isn't that deep" but it really is. A lot of things that are labeled "not that deep" actually are. Humanity itself, regardless of what some may believe, is pretty deep. Why else would we have philosophers throughout our time, pondering human behavior and the world around us?

Always found people who used "it isn't that deep" as weird, anyway. Like, why are you trying to shut down critical thinking?

For the current BS Discord is trying to pull next month, especially after the October data breach that had supposedly "immediately deleted data" leaked.

No user privacy coupled with the risk of having personal and sensitive data leaked means no Discord and no Nitro. Discord has already outed themselves with "if you don't want to verify, we'll look at your activity," meaning they've already been watching you and know what your age is. Plus, you'd think being able to pay for Nitro would clue anyone in that having a credit or debit card on file would mostly point to the user being an adult.

Anyone with more than one brain cell would understand that making everyone "teen by default" would put predators in contact with those under 18 so no, it's not about child safety. It's blatant data harvesting. Predators won't be asked to verify their ages because they're right where they want to be.

When the reasoning excuse is doing something shady for "child safety," they're usually the ones you have to protect kids from.

Today, 1/12/26 is one of the worst days of my life.

I lost my best friend and my hobby buddy, Sofia. She was old, decrepit, and often looked like a crumpled tissue in her old age, but she was my old, decrepit, crumpled tissue.

You were the love of my life. It took me six months to get you to come around to me in the beginning after Dad brought you home all those years ago. You were small then and remained that size. It just made it easier for me to see you as a kitten in my eyes. I will cherish every memory, every picture, every video I took of you. It kills me already that you're actually gone, not at my side like you always were.

I will forever miss not having you curled up beside me while I write, knit, game, or listen to true crime. Everyone in the house loved cuddling with you when you allowed it. I'm sorry, Tumblr Ad, but I don't need an over-sexualized AI girlfriend/boyfriend with the personality of cardboard that only appeals to one type of person. I have what's called an imagination- a creative, overactive, high-functioning imagination, I might add- where all of my F/Os live in a house that may or may not burn down because of their personalities clashing like horrible roommates.

I already know what they look and sound like because another person who knew how to make quality characters from scratch put love and care into them. I can also find other works the voice actors were in and apply them to that character with no need to feed it into a machine to get what I want. Oh, and I can write scenarios for them that match my tastes without AI help.
