I didn’t know what time it was, but it didn’t matter as I was happily asleep. I was sleeping on my stomach with only my comforter covering my lower body as my small fan blew a nice cool breeze on my back.
For a second, I thought the carpet in my room shuffled, but I paid no attention. It could’ve been nothing. Then I felt a warm hand grazing between my shoulder blades, going to my shoulders, then down my spine. “Good morning.” A voice softly called out.
I stirred in my sleep and groaned. “Midoriya?” “Good morning, sleepyhead.” I stretched and searched around my pillows to look for my phone. “What time is it?” I asked. “It’s your birthday, silly, and it’s 7 in the morning, by the way.”
I groaned louder. “Why are you waking me up this early?” “I have stuff planned out for you. I want to make your day really fun. Are you getting up?” He asked and continued to rub my back.
“Just five more minutes.” I shuffled myself to get into a more comfortable while still sleeping on my stomach. “I don’t think so.”
I felt Midoriya’s hand slid up my shirt and scribbled my lower back. I twisted and wiggled as I giggled into my pillow. “Midoriya, nohohohohohohoho!”
“Come on, Autumn. I just want you to get up so we can celebrate your birthday.” He reaches for my sides to squeeze them. I had to turn on my side to lay on my back to make Midoriya stop tickling me. I tried grabbing his wrists, but he instantly caught my hands and pinned them above my head.
Midoriya snickered. “You're so cute when your laughing! Feel like getting up now?” “IhIhihihihihihi just wahahahahahant more sleheheheheheep! Stohohohohohop!”
“But I have to fulfill my duties to get you up and moving. Trust me, you're going to love the surprise I got for you.” Midoriya said as he started to poke my belly.
“Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Nahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!” I couldn’t get myself to talk through my laughter. I was kicking my legs and flailing around like a fish out of water.
“Plehehehehehease it tihihihicklehehehehes! Midoriyahahahahahahahaha!” “Planning on get up now?” Midoriya switched from poking to clawing my belly. “Yehehehehehes! Okayehehehehehe plehehehehease stohohohohop! Ahahahahahahahahahaha!”
Finally, Midoriya stopped tickling me and sat at the edge of my bed. “That was rude!” I said between breaths. Midoriya laughed. “Got you up, didn’t it?”
I stared at him blankly. “I hate you.” Midoriya laughed and pulled out a small box from his pocket while I sat up. “What’s that?” I asked. “Happy birthday, birthday girl,” He said with a smile.
I took the box and opened it. I gasped softly as I pulled a necklace out of the box. It was a silver wolf head with green jewels as eyes. Midoriya smiled as I looked at the necklace with awe. “It’s so beautiful. Thank you.” I hugged Midoriya from the side. “You're welcome. Ready to go downstairs and see what else I’ve got for you?” I sighed playfully. “I guess.”
