75150 - Star Wars - Tie Advanced and A-wing.

Now that Christmas is over, and my last update was the sets I bought at Black Friday, it is now time for a new set. It is no suprise that I am a huge fan of spaceships in general, so buying this set was .. Okay, I was almost drooling - After all, it is Darth Vader and his Tie Advanced.

The A-wing grew on me as I was building it, and I ended up thinking it has a very nice look, and feel. As always, I think the build could be slightly better if they didn’t had to build in the laser-fire-mechanism. Another thing is, that the build of the engines, is either an error, or the manual dosn’t show the assembly correct - I had trouble figuring out, if there should be a gap or not, between the tails and the body. I ended up making the gap, since the fire-exhaust otherwise can’t be part of the build.

The Tie-Advanced is almost perfect. The only thing I would point out is the backside og the back - Could have been more like the top, and the two rounds bricks on each wings - They could be dark squares, God dammit!

The Minis are awesome, though Vaders helmet could have been done a little better - It constant reminds me of the superbowl commercial a few years back.

With that said, it is an awesome set.
